had dinner here with mi amore... ordered linguini vongole... chicken parmigiana... balsamic calamari... sangria and wine for drinks... i must say this is a legit italian place... the vongole was by far the most competent one i've had so far in a long time... only hiccups are my wife found the sangria too sweet for her liking and the calamari being more of a onion rings... it was too fried... texture and taste were gone... but it didn't really affect our experience... my wine was great... no room for dessert... maybe we enjoyed the bread too much as we asked for balsamic vinaigrette mixed with olive oil and parmesan as our dipping sauce... twas too good... adding this place to our goto list... did i mention that they are byob...

Good variety of choices for appetizers and entrees. We were dinner party of four, all four dinners were delicious. The service was great, our waitress was very attentive. It is a good family restaurant.

Food is average..NY Strip was disappointing, ordered medium rare but the cut was tough and no seasoning, not even salt or pepper. We had Buffalo Pizza which was good.Calamari is good.Chilean Sea Bass came out good.

Food was outstanding! My daughter and I split a wedge salad and my husband ordered a shrimp cocktail to start. For our entrees my daughter had the ziti al for no with a side of sausage, I had the salmon ciao Bello which was excellent. I can't recall what my husband ordered. He did get a side of sausage and enjoyed his meal. We all shared the banana dessert with coconut ice cream. We were stuffed. It was very loud at the time we were there (7:30 on a Saturday) and there was a man at the table next to us that was very loud. It was quite distracting. Otherwise, it was a nice evening.

I Think Ciao Bello in Cranford is place is much more suited for a lovely dinner than a work lunch.Appetizers...had the Fried Zucchini and Bruschetta. The zucchini was excellent it wasn't wet and limp inside but nicely firm. The Bruschetta was good.Lunch...I had the Turkey Cobb salad, which I'm sorry to say was a very sad disappointment. Although I asked for dressing on the side, (and was assured that all salad dressings always came on the side) the salad came to the table dressed and it was missing the gorganzola cheese. The worst part , however, was the sliced cold-cut turkey they used. Now, I *was* expecting cold-cut turkey...however it was about a half pound of the worst kind of sliced cold-cut turkey that exists. The kind that has bubbles and tastes like Oscar Mayer bologna.. I couldn't eat it and had to push it off to the side.Dessert...tiramusu was some of the best I ever had.So, I would *maybe* try Ciao Bello again for dinner and stick to one of the many Italian/pasta dishes they offer. However, at the menu prices advertised, I'd probably go somewhere else.

Food never disappoints!!! I have been here several times and have always gotten a delicious meal. Last Saturday I went with 5 other people who all ordered something different. Let's just say that there were NO leftovers! Apps and desserts are good too. Make a reservation if you're going on a Friday or Saturday night. Always busy!

This may become a new go-to restaurant for my family. Excellent food (including some of the best eggplant rollatini I've had!) and attentive service. The atmosphere is lovely - we can't wait to go back in warm weather to take advantage of the outdoor patio. Love this place and will definitely be back!

This was our first time at Ciao Bello. It was a family friendly Italian with a standard Italian restaurant menu. The food was very good; the portions were generous. I will definitely go back.

Our party of five went for New Year's Eve dinner. As expected the place was packed but we were had a table with enough room for comfort. In spite of the New Year's crowd the service was excellent and timely. The food was prepared to perfection. I plan to go there again soon.

Food was delicious. I ordered the crab cakes and the eggplant parm. Apple pie with ice cream was superb.

It was our first time here and it was pretty good. The Calamari was over cooked but everything else was good. A lot of waitstaff however we still had to get the attention of the water guy. He kept walking passed us looking at our empty water glasses(weird) but overall it was good and will try again.
