We hadn't been to Il Gabbiano in a few years, so we decided to take advantage of Restaurant Week in our town and try it. There were four of us, and we had a great meal, with terrific service. We look forward to dining at this restaurant again.

We ordered Mama Mia Pasta, Meatballs and Linguini and Steak Old Fashion. Everything tasted ok, but nothing spectacular. I wish the pasta had been homemade, but alas you could tell they were from a box. Service was fast and friendly.

Excellent service and food. The BYOB keeps the price down. The owner is amenable to making changes to the food preperation making the meals truly custom made.

I was very disappointed with everything the evening I was there. I chose this restaurant because I had a very good experience a month ago. the owner was there and came out and spoke with us and the food was delicious. This time I brought two people and wanted to share the good experience and it was totally different. First my chair rocked back and forth like it would break. I asked for a different chair and they gave me another rocking one....when i told them the new one rccked they grabbed another without checking and it rocked too. so then they went across to different chairs and grabbed a chair that was obviously stained with a big spot. It did not rock but it was embarrassing to have this happen when I was trying to entertain my friends. Such poor service. The food was mediocre. Not terrible. I did manage to finish my entree but it was very average. The dessert was very good. But I will not be returning . It was very disappointing in so many ways. I also had to ask for the check three times.

You will be hard-pressed to find a friendlier staff and better customer service! Very attentive, very kind! I felt comfortable just taking my time and enjoying my experience. I highly recommend!

I just had my son’s 21’st surprise party over the weekend , and it was amazing! They allowed me to go in the morning and decorate, they help me to do in fact, the food was delicious as always and the service was perfect , we even had live music as a surprise as well and my son and guest where all happy ! Definitely coming back !

SIMPLY AMAZING. We had an event at Il Gabbiano and it was exceptional. The staff are very professional and kind. The service was excellent! The food tastes REALLY good and the cost is very reasonable. And to Alex the owner…I take a bow to you because you are awesome. I couldn’t be more happy and satisfied..My husband and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for extending your restaurant to our family and friends. You and your team showered us with love and respect. I HIGHLY recommend Il Gabbiano in Cranford if you are looking to have a small and cozy event. 10ssss across the board. I have NO complaints.
