This is my go to sushi spot outside of traveling to NYC. For reference, I just went into NYC last weekend to a place for omakase, have brewed my own sake, and have traveled and tried plenty of sushi places (far more expensive) via the company credit card. The fish quality here is easily on par with most places 50% more expensive. The "dinner for two" style options are a good deal and it is BYOB if you want to bring wine or sake (which I do generally when I go). The service is incredibly friendly, actually even as an introvert I am tempted to try to strike up a conversation with Mr. Bin as he seems like a cool guy, perhaps next time I will offer him a drink. Anyway, long story short, this is the best sushi spot in the area and is worth going to 100% if you are feeling sushi. Only demerit is they should be more clear on what comes with a salad as I've ordered a second salad before, and that they always offer the oysters which IMO sound expensive (I get 1$ fresh oysters when I'm in florida). But overall this is a solid five star suggestion for sushi in the area.

Mr. Bin is a solid option for sushi in the Cranford area. He always recommends some great a la carte specials- we've gotten the oysters twice and loved them each time. We also ordered the otoro which is melt in your mouth. The rolls are solid but honestly I prefer the apps and specials with nigiri or sashimi. Will consistently come here for good quality fish. I would like to come here and try their omakase- you need to book in advance.

We went with a large party of 7 people. The service was phenomenal. The food well it was amazing as well. The sushi rolls were fresh and delicious. We enjoyed it so much we ordered more sushi rolls for "desert".

My husband and I tried Mr Bin for the first time and the sushi was delicious! It's a BYO so we brought a favorite bottle to enjoy with our meal. Unfortunately we will never go back. We had a 7pm reservation and at 8:07pm, the owner came over and told us we need to move along as he needed our table. My husband and I were shocked and extremely disappointed. We were finishing up and getting ready to go regardless but it was just extremely rude. When I spoke to the owner and expressed my disappointment, he told us he didn't care that we were disappointed, he didn't need our business. We'll never go back and we will tell all our friends about our extremely disappointing and unnecessary experience.

Great vegan sushi. Very accommodating, was able to customize a few rolls. We have eaten in and ordered out- service was great both times. Will definitely be coming back.

We saw great reviews before making a ressie at this restaurant, but it was quite underwhelming and we were the only table there on a weekend dinner time. The service indeed was very nice and family-like, food wise it is fresh, but it's not great or authentic as other reviews have indicated that warrants a trip or ressie to visit. We did see many take out orders though, so maybe it is more as a neighborhood take-out option. We would do order/takeout from here if we live nearby, but maybe not making a 15+min drive for it.

Melt in your mouth sushi!! Took a while for the sushi to come out (kitchen appetizers were much quicker and the waiter told us this too). We did the Chef’s special and enjoyed the selection of sushi, nigiri and sashimi. Would deff go back to try more on their menu - everything looks so delicious!Note: I’d recommend coming no later than an hour before closing (a family walked in 45 mins before closing and they were almost turned away).
