Sandwiches were on point. My buddy and I had some sloppy Joe's. I had the grilled pastrami Joe, which was very lean and tasty. Friend had Dagwood which is ham, turkey, Swiss, it was so big he had to eat it in layers. Standard luncheonette setup in there. Been going there for years and same ownership family forever. Good spot for a delicious sandwich or hot soup, oh yeah, friend had Italian wedding soup, which he liked.
Parking: Good options around.
Kid-friendliness: Kinda small but ok for a kid or two.

The sloppy Joe wasn’t really a sloppy Joe. It was cold and lacked its traditional aspect. Very expensive for something that I fed to the dogs later.

Best lunch place in cranford and it’s not even close. Best sloppy joes, best lunch specials. If you don’t like those options get a lillia club. You’ll be full until the next day

I stopped by for couple sandwiches as I was walking my dog as round downtown.
nice that they had a dog bowl with water outside for furry friends.
I got the liverworst in a Portuguese roll with lettuce tomato and onions. the red onions really helps cuts the richness from the liverworst.
I called in my order for pick up.
noticed a few tables with locals with newspaper. this may be a good spot to work from home if they had wifi

First time left a very positive first impression. Dropped in for a quick breakfast sandwich: sausage egg and cheese. Light on the ketchup, pepper, no salt. Service was friendly and the place was clean. The sandwich, although simple, was just PERFECT. The roll was warm and very fresh. The sausage was good quality and the sandwich well proportioned. Totally hit the spot. I am not one to write a review on a simple breakfast sandwich, but this is the best I have had in years. Win.

Very good pancakes
I’ve been coming to Mr. J’s for more years than I can remember, it’s a true staple of downtown Cranford. Everything has always been great: breakfast, sloppy joes, subs, and even the daily specials. I’ll be a patron of Mr. J’s for as long as they’re open.
Ordered sunny side up eggs and well done fried. Disappointed!

I started getting sandwiches from Mr. J's when I was a kid. The Mr. J's special is my favorite. Even though I moved away, I still try to make that at home!
Sloppy joes and the Dagwood are ace! Good onions rings too ?

Enjoyed breakfast with hubby today. I had the Commuter and he had a pastrami Sloppy Joe. Everything was delicious! crispy bacon, cheesy fries the way they should be- not soggy, coffee was strong, and the service was warm ?
