Professional and friendly staff. The meat and toppings in my sub was fresh. However, the bread was hard, definitely not made the same day, but tasted 2-3 days old. There is no way the preparer could not have known it was hard when serving it.

I'm sorry, but this is some of the worst food. I've ever tried. The lentil soup was just like water and lentils. The spicy tuna was just not even spicy. The bread was stale, the black bean salad. The lettuce was wilted.I don't know not at all, what I expected

I was looking forward to trying out this sub shop today after reading the reviews. It's right in the middle of downtown Cranford where traffic is always busy, and parking is extremely limited. Sub-Ology doesn't have a designated parking lot and I never found a spot.

Looks like Google requires "stars" to post a review. I'm giving them 4, because the subs on their website "look" tasty. Disappointed...

Parking: Good luck finding it.

Love this place and the owner is awesome. The first time coming in here I was overwhelmed because I have dietary restrictions so I made sure to come after the lunch rush. The owner behind the counter could tell I was taking extra time to look through the menu and after stating my preferences to him he kindly said "What can I make for you? I'll make you anything you want." I'll never forget that...It was my first real sandwich in years. Thank you!!!

Sub-Ology had AMAZING options and service was fast! Everyone here was super friendly! They have all kinds of chip flavors (BBQ, dill, sour cream & onion, salt & pepper, jalapeño) as well as offering an assortment of different kinds of packaged candies! They also have many options for drinks in the coolers! I ordered the Sub-Ology favorite and it was delicious! Will definitely come back here to try all the other different kind of Sandwiches! You can even customize your salads here as well!

UPDATE 2: They deleted their response. Nice.

UPDATE: The business' response to me has completely turned me off. Specifically, the lines, "Please contact us directly next time its probably easier then a 10 paragraph review," and "If the purpose is to leave a review and hurt our business then that is your choice. If your purpose is to get our attention then we are listening and willing to make it right."

My purpose is to leave an honest review.

My choice next time will be Pastosa.

I got the Alla Siciliana with a 2 oz bag of chips. Came out to a hair under $26.

Before I get into it, the sandwich genuinely tasted good. The bread was perfect, and was the standout. No notes on flavor at all.

My issue is with the ratios of ingredients on the sandwich. The Alla Siciliana is supposed to be comprised of imported Prosciutto di Parma, fresh burrata mozzarella, fresh pesto, extra virgin olive oil, arugula and thick balsamic glaze reduction, according to the online menu. The full hero costs like $21, so you'd think for that price at the bare minimum there would be a fair amount of prosciutto and burrata.

My sandwich had two incredibly thin slices of mozzarella that didn't even reach to the ends of the hero (they ended a bit less than halfway). And yes, it was mozzarella; burrata is supple, this mozzarella was dry. And if it WAS burrata, well....damn. Not great.

I had less prosciutto on this sandwich than the height of my pinky nail (and I keep my nails short). In fact, there was more arugula on the sandwich than there was prosciutto.

The cross section of the sandwich was decent, but there was almost nothing toward the ends of the hero. Just plain bread.

Also, there was no pesto or balsamic glaze. I took the sandwich apart to confirm after a few bites. Unclear if there was EVOO, as that is an ingredient that's a bit harder to discern (although I guess if it is this hard to figure out if it was there, there's probably a good chance it wasn't present at all).

Again, what I DID get tasted good, it was just so, so minimal. I sincerely want to give this place another shot, maybe it was just a bad day and they were off. But I think I'll stick to the cheaper end of the menu next time.

Will update this review if I go back.

Today I had the most amazing lettuce wrap (which they made to accommodate me). It was a Chipotle Chicken Lettuce wrap and it was DELICIOUS. Thank you to the team for making a special request sandwich for me today. I will be coming back!

I love a good sub and couldn't wait to give this spot a try. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and was greeted. I ordered from a nice young lady, Paige. I ordered the raging bull and the chipotle chicken wrap. It took about 10 minutes. The sandwiches were big and filling. I really enjoyed both sandwiches, especially the ragging bull. I also like the iced tea I drunk. All in all I had a good experience!

Came here after they sponsored a local powerlifting competition- I’m here to stay as a customer. You compare it to Chipotle or any fast food sub chain and you’re getting faster service, quality ingredients, and superior serving size for the price. Very easy to support them.

This was my first (won't be my last) visit to Sub-Ology. I ordered a pair of Italian-style subs (#4 and # 14) and a tuna sub. What I received was excellent. Large sandwiches (two lunches for two of us and we are fairly big eaters) made with generous amounts of quality meats and veggies. My daughter - the tuna salad nut - was especially impressed by the albacore salad. Perhaps best of all was the quality of the rolls. No soggy, soft teeny sub rolls (seems like a lot of places are going to smaller rolls to save $) these but crusty, well-baked rolls that were a perfect match for the insides. We normally treat ourselves to Millburn Deli sandwiches since they are excellent and just ten minutes from our home in Union but the extra 15 minutes was well worth the trip. Not to be remiss, the young lady at the counter was pleasant and accurate with the tweeks to my order and the chefs who prepared the sandwiches were pleasant and personable. I will be back to check out some of the other items on their extensive menu.
