About Wasai Bistro

Wasai Bistro offers exquisite Japanese-French cuisine using super fresh seasonal ingredients. The menu consistently changes, featuring unique dishes like the cook-your-own steak on a hot rock. Standout items include peanut butter dumplings and chocolate cake. This cozy bistro is perfect for date nights or special celebrations, and its BYOB policy adds to its charm.

Customers praise the exceptional quality of the sushi, with the fish being incredibly fresh and the presentation impeccable. The menu and specials are described as broad and creative, with the waitstaff knowledgeable about the offerings. The small, intimate setting and BYOB policy are seen as additional benefits.

The food is consistently praised as the star of the experience. Dishes like the duck confit, deluxe sushi, and Japanese cheesecake with black sesame ice cream are highlighted as standouts. The restaurant's dedication to fresh, seasonal ingredients and unique menu items make it a favorite among local diners. Certain options are pricey but worth it, and reservations are highly recommended, especially on busier nights.

I love coming to Wasai Bistro whenever I’m visiting the east coast. I’ve followed Chef Nelson since his days at Aozora and Wabi Sabi. His food quality, menu options, and value are unmatched in the area. Once you try his food you will understand why he has so many repeat diners. I highly recommend the Mes Reves Roll, Uni and bone marrow ramen, Miso glazed sea bass entree and salmon lover entree but it’s very hard to go wrong with anything Chef Nelson serves. Wish I had known it was aFrench susi restaurant when my son picked it...the special rolls were 7.50 for 1 piece of sushi .. and while my son said it was good it was way overpriced for a small amount of food ..

Absolutely delicious! Try the oysters and duck confit. Everything is made from scratch. The chef even imports his edamame!
