The feast is served just like weddings back home with so many veg and non-veg dishes and most importantly with such warm hospitality that one feels like part of the family. This is the go-to for everyone in the area whether it’s for a lunch break or dinner time take-out. They don’t offer delivery, but it’s in such a convenient location that it works out. Haven’t been to any other chinese restaurant as good as China Star 💗⭐️ they’re so consistent in every aspect. They also have a buffet, but I haven’t tried it yet. Give them a try!

“HILLSBOROUGH: it’s not that it’s a hidden cafe is really that hidden, there is just so much around it that makes the small shopping center potentially easy to miss. Look for the Domino’s Pizza, pull in, and drive to the back for the main entrance to the cafe.

its a hidden cafe is a calming oasis of a space, beautifully designed with fun features, and a great owner churning out delicious drinks from a simple menu. Don’t let the menu fool you, there is plenty to choose from and each caffeinated beverage is prepared with the utmost care and attention.

Through the Yelp Elite “For Latte Lovers @ it’s a hidden cafe” event, we got to enjoy a complimentary latte and I was so excited to see peanut butter as an option for flavor, which is one of 10 flavor offerings. Coffee, espresso, tea, hot chocolate, and more plus dairy free milk options are available. There is quite a robust instant ramen selection available to pair with your beverage.

There is also colorful artwork, an old-school Nintendo system & box TV for some retro nostalgia, and an art station make it a perfect way to escape and relax. The owner encouraged us to say hello to other Yelpers enjoying the experience and it was a wonderfully friendly crowd.

“Great food here! I had to drive 40 minutes to get here, but the food makes it worth it! The service is great, the fish is excellent, and the atmosphere is friendly. The restroom is clean, but the only problem is the opening hour is a bit late. Overall, great experience. Would definitely come back again. Possibly the best fish soup in NJ.”

The fish soup broth was not enough, it's kinda hard to scoop off the soup to your bowl, they offered if you want more broth, but then less flavorful after they add with just the base broth without seasoning.
Garlic shrimp was the highlight of the dinner.

“It was our honor and privilege to be a part of a dear friend's B'day Bash last Sunday at Kochi. Dining at Kochi was one of the, if not THE, most memorable experience ever. We were totally floored by the exquisite food - and service - provided by Chef and Owner Mr. Jebu Matthew and his team. From the cool berry drink and amazing classic South Indian appetizers, to the numerous - and for us, many new - items that kept appearing in front of us almost magically during the main meal, served in the traditional South Indian style (on banana leaves), right through the delectable halwa and delicious jaggery rice payasam (desserts), we could feel the love and careful attention with which each item was prepared and pride with which each item was served. Plus, being served by Mr. Matthew himself was, in and of itself, humbling. He patiently explained the intricacies of each delicacy which helped us understand the complexity of the cuisine's varied flavors. To be actually seated (for hours) and served at the table greatly enhanced the culinary experience. We have rarely, if ever, felt that we have consumed a feast - but now, can proudly say so - because of Mr. Matthew and our experience at Kochi. The person working was a complete gentleman and kindly offered to make me another. It shows his character, and the values of this location to retain their customers. “We had 3 sets of 3 scoops. 3 different people with 3 very different tastes in ice cream. 9 different flavors. They were all wonderful and exciting. This is not your ordinary ice cream shop but please do not let that deter you from trying them out. Just expect to be a bit adventurous and go for it. They are a small batch artisan style shop with many unique flavors to try. We also grabbed 4 pints of other flavors to take home and try. The owner was awesome, explained all of the flavors and offered samples. The inside was very cute with a good amount of seating for an ice cream shop. Please go and try them out because this is the type of place that would be truly missed by anyone that has visited.”

Two times they brought over the wrong drinks and one order they completely forgot.. Also when waiter brings over food he should know who ordered what and not have to ask again. Food was good but service needs improvement if those are the prices you will be charging.”

I especially loved their Bedmi Poori, crisp, flavorful, and paired beautifully with the sabzi. Everything we tried was good, but the street food items truly stood out. The flavors are authentic, well-balanced just the way they should be.”

“Rich and flavorful broth! Great sides!

Wow! Firstly, very lovely first impression walking in and being seated. I am a big fan of the robin-egg colored tableware and the Miniso Dundun chicken timers lol. The place felt very clean and fresh, upon arriving.

Food:
The broth was extremely rich and flavorful! Genuinely tasted like it was prepared for a long time (10 hours) just like they advertise! It tasted very savory and it pairs well with the chicken and the other sides! The fish maw white fungus, chinese yam, pumpkin, and hand pulled noodles were all very fresh and high quality. I personally loved how chewy the noodles were after cooking it!

Our order was 2 servings it felt like a reasonable price. Definitely satisfied with the portion size given that we felt pretty full afterwards.

Service felt very welcoming and friendly.

I would totally recommend giving this place a try!”
