*1/5 Stars - Disappointing Experience at Dear Delhi on George Rd, Dayton, NJ.
We were thoroughly unimpressed with the overall experience. The restaurant was almost empty, with only one other family present, which should have allowed for attentive service. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
Our cocktail arrived with juice spilling over the waiter's hand, which was not clean. This was a concerning start to the meal. We ordered the grill platter and paneer chilli as appetizers, but the meat was overcooked and lacked flavor.
For our main course, we opted for the Lamb Rogan Josh, Butter Chicken, and Naan. The Naan was the only redeeming quality, but it was just okay. The two gravies, which cost a whopping $39, arrived in small bowls with oil floating on top. The Butter Chicken had a paltry 5-6 tiny pieces of chicken, despite the waiter claiming they had added 9 pieces.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was dull and uninviting, which added to our overall disappointment. Given the subpar food, poor service, and high prices, we would not be returning.
*Pros:* None
*Cons:*
- Poor service
- Overcooked and flavorless food
- High prices for small portions
- Uninviting atmosphere
- Unhygienic presentation of drinks

Unique Northern Indian restaurant. Everything was delicious and seasoned to our liking.
Veg Samosa, Dear Delhi Chaat, Kashmiri Naan, Paneer Tikka Masala, Lamb Korma. Krishna, our server, was informative and patient with all of our questions. Glad we stepped out of our comfort zone.

I feel sad to say that this is an absolute disaster of a restaurant! We (5 Adults) went in with a reservation for lunch (to celebrate my parents' marriage anniversary) and arrived there to find a completely empty restaurant. The greeter (the only restaurant employee we could see) told us that they had buffet on the day, and that we could help ourselves. The food was cold (as if it came out of a refrigerator) and stale in both appearance and taste. When we brought this to the greeter, we were told lame excuses such as - "that's because the restaurant just opened"! No restaurant Manager or Chef came to take our feedback or show any remorse. We decided to not eat there and told the greeter that we'd like to leave. She went in, and came back with a check. They charged us full buffet charges for 5 people even though none of us could even have more than a couple of spoons of the horrible tasting food. We paid and left because we didn't want to spoil our day. I usually don't write any reviews online but this restaurant absolutely deserves this review. Please save your time and money and DO NOT go to this restaurant.

Food was disappointing! Food pics on the website looked amazing and we were looking forward to dining here. We ordered Dahi kabab, okra fries, paneer tikka, palak patta chat, Amritsari kulcha, tomato soup, mango lassi, garlic naan and paneer tikka masala (gravy).
Dahi kabab and okra fries were not fried well. They looked and tasted uncooked. You could taste the raw flour. Palak chat was alright but the dahi used was watery which made the chaat a bit soggy. Paneer tikka was tasted good and was definitely better than the rest of the apps. Tomato soup, kulcha, garlic naan and paneer tikka masala were alright.
I would definitely not recommend this place or go back here.

Dear Delhi is a great place for any event catering. We recently had an event and got Dear Delhi to do the catering and we were super impressed by their service and quality of food. We had a special request to make a parsi style.dish which they have never made. Our guests loved the dish. They went out of the way to research the dish and cook it for us. I would highly recommend this place and am definitely getting them to do.the catering for all my events.
