“It's cool that DD (no, not the donut place, this place) has been around for many years and remains independent and hires local kids. All of these facts are worthy of praise. However, the ice cream is just average. I mean, if you are comparing it the grocery store weekly sale ice cream, sure, it's amazing. But for local ice cream parlor, real-deal ice cream, I think Scoops in Boonton is much better.“
“In August of 2023, due to certain health issues, I became vegetarian and in most cases vegan, as well as I was no longer allowed to have wheat based products, so gluten free as well. I started doing a lot of my own cooking, but also at times want to explore foods and especially baked goods, that I am allowed to have without compromising my health, but with great taste. This place absolutely delivers. I tried a cupcake and a doughnut, both delicious and absolutely amazing. We also found out from a young lady that works there, that they make gluten free, vegan and even sugar free cakes, with a long enough notice, to order. I have finally found another place where I can enjoy guilt free deserts with absolutely amazing tastes and that go well with my health driven diet. Love it and absolutely coming back again soon.“
“Fantastic Italian sandwiches. Fresh ingredients, pleasant staff, and big portions. Can't ask for too much more from a deli. I haven't tried any of their bakery items and have always gotten my food to-go but they do have a wide selection of foods from every category, and have ample seating available for those wishing to dine in. Parking is a little weird as the shop is at the top of a hill, and the area tends to be swarmed with police cars. But the lot is big enough you won't have any trouble getting a spot. If you're looking for a sandwich recommendation, listen to what all the reviews are saying and try to the eggplant - you won't be disappointed. It isn't even just the eggplant, all the ingredients come together well. The mozzarella is extremely fresh too. They also have several other spreads and toppings you can substitute or add on if you wish if you prefer to customize your sandwich. Price might seem a little high for a sandwich, but the portion size makes up for it, and to be honest it's pretty in line with competitors.“
“Great service and very friendly usually, but how do you interpret butter as peanut butter and put that on a bagel instead … Really? One of the workers was in the back taking forever for that order as well and claimed “he didn’t know he had to make the orders”. I do really love this place nonetheless and will be back but some workers really do need to be more attentive.“
“Went in around 9am. Grabbed a couple of bakery items and a latte. It's a grab and go type of place which I don't mind. I really had to hold my wallet because I was tempted to buy everything! Super fresh croissants and great coffee. I will be back :)“
