Ordered some roasted chicken, it was dry and some were not cooked. The sweet plain side was ok, some were cooked perfectly, some were over cooked. The tamale was very good,i will go back just for the tamale

Not sure how this business keeps expanding when every location feels like a free-for-all. Each one makes up its own rules—Paramus Park has one set, Rivervale another, Dumont something else entirely. The staff? Half the time they don’t even understand what I’m asking, and the rules change depending on which employee you catch. That’s not “customer service,” that’s a circus.
And the cleanliness? Forget it. Tables sticky, floors grimy, trash piling up. Employees are too busy scrolling on their cell phones to even notice. Maybe if they put down TikTok for two seconds they could actually mop, sweep, or wipe something down. In Bergen County, where restaurant standards are supposed to be high, this place couldn’t even pass for a rest stop bathroom.
Tried calling the Rivervale number on the door—shockingly, no one answers. No calls back. No communication. Maybe management should focus less on opening new locations and more on learning the basics of running the ones they already have.
The result? Lost business. Customers literally sitting in their cars outside laughing at the disaster. Honestly, the joke writes itself—except nobody’s laughing when they’re paying for this mess.
I have been dining at this place for about two years and in these two years of dining they always seem to mess up the orders on my burrito. I always ask for plantains on my burrito and they seem to forget to put it half the time. I awlays ask for no salsa and sometimes they put salsa. I sometimes ask for avocado on my burrito and they never put it in even though theu charge me for it. They never seem to get my order correct and I am extremely unhappy about this hopefully they take more time to correctly pack my order.

BBQ Beef burrito was good but they put very little beef and forgot the maduros I added online, this also happened when I ordered the chicken burrito. I think they need to add a little more meat in their burritos, other then that it tastes good for good price

We ordered lunch and we were excited to get vaca frita. We did not receive it. Instead it was a beef that looked like pernil and tasted old. It was covered in garlic and onions which also tasted bad. The rice was mushy and normally rice here is amazing. We tried to call the store but we cannot reach a human to talk to. We are extremely disappointed. In the past our food has been great but not today. Today they served old meat and the incorrect order!

I can't get enough of Cuban Eddies! The prices are ridiculous. I can get 2 meals and dessert for around $15! I was shocked. Friendly staff and quick service. I was not disappointed with the quality of food either. My roasted chicken lunch was juicy and my empanadas were amazing. If you haven't tried this place yet you definitely need too!

The pork in their cuban sandwich tasted bland and very rubbery like it was cooked then frozen for very long and their smoothies were more like a slushy, and the flavor left a horrible aftertaste in my mouth. Even their empanadas were horrible. The cheese empanada was rubbery, and the beef empanada was full of potatoes instead of actual beef. I’m a person who doesn’t like the waste food, but this is the first time ever that I’ve had to throw food in the garbage.

My whole family loves Cuban Eddies! We absolutely love their food it’s delicious. Service is always fast and everyone is super nice. Cuban Eddies is our go to place for take out because it’s fresh, flavorful and the portion size for the price is honestly amazing. Some of our favorite dishes are the steak bowl, ropa vieja, the Cuban sandwich, tostones, beef stew and more. 10/10 everytime !

Shredded Beef
Vaca Frita
Roast Pork
Spare Ribs
Oreo & Cream Empanada
I previously posted about this local spot on West Shore Ave. There are so many good choices I had to come back for more.
The shredded beef was rich and filled with flavor.
If you are looking for a fried version of beef, you won’t go wrong with the vaca frita. The edges were crispy and the inside of the meat was tender.
Stick your fork in a plate of roast succulent pork. If you want to add a spicy kick, hot sauce will do the trick.
One of my personal favorites were the spare ribs. These dry rub pork ribs fell right off the bone. They were seasoned so well you there was no need for barbecue sauce.
For those of you who are craving a sweet tooth, the Oreo & Cream empanada is quite satisfying. It is filled with crushed Oreo cookies and vanilla cream.
This is a perfect spot if you are looking for take out at reasonable prices. While the seating is limited, I recommend ordering it for take out.

They got rid of my favorite chicharrone (fried pork belly). Food is still great but broke my heart. It was the best fried pork belly around

I put in a take out order here for lunch. I was happy to see they offered wide range of dishes, including sandwiches, soups, salads, empanadas, chicken/beef/pork dishes with rice and beans sizes. The dishes came in lunch and dinner portion sizes. They also had flan and rice pudding, two of my favorite desserts.
Upon arriving, easily found parking in front of the store. The restaurant is relatively small, couple of tables, lots of boxes around, not really a dine-in spot, mostly good for take outs. It was pretty busy, few customers were in line. Upon my turn, I asked them about my order, and they handed it over to me right away. Was happy to see the order was ready at promised time despite the rush.
Among the food, loved the beef empanada, was the best item for me. It had ground beef inside, delicious taste. But I didn’t the chicken empanada as much. The chicken was shredded and bland. The grilled basa fish was good, two filet cooked well, that came with some lettuce. The chicken lunch platter was surprisingly a big platter, came with 2 pieces of huge chicken leg and potatoes. This stew chicken was much better, very soft and moist inside.
I was relatively happy with the food. I found few items I liked, and looking to try some new ones in future.
