The cakes look great on the outside but the toppings, fillings and cake inside are STALE- which tells me they have been sitting for too long. That is very disappointing, especially if it's for a special occasion like a birthday. No one seems to know how to write on the cake either. For a $30 price range, the cake should be super fresh in every aspect and professionally written on.

I looked for my wife a birthday cake and looked for a bakery ( non supermarket) and found this place online , went , got a great chocolate mouse cake and couldn't resist all the temptation and end up buying some pastries and a loaf of bread that was amazing . Staff was very nice and knowledgeable. I ended up going there two days later since my wife and kids lived there stuff. Highly recommend !

Pricing is all over the place. If you call 3 times for a cake order you'll get 3 different prices, ranging $10 to 40 difference. I tested this theory after ordering a cake days ahead then being called the morning of to be told sorry wrong price it's going to be an extra $35! Pricing is above average for an ok cake. Proper business is to at least honor the price given when ordering vs corner us the morning of pickup. It's not the customers fault the staff gives wrong details. The decision to order is based off the price given!

I wanted a special cake for my wife’s 50th birthday so I spoke to the owner and told her some of the things that I might want a girly cake. She said fine. My daughters can make a lovely cake with some bling once I picked up the cakes they exceeded my expectations. They were covered in cookies and flowers and chocolate covered fresh, strawberries and candies. Did I mention it was five separate cakes I had her name is Renee so I had an R cake I had an E cake I had an N cake and then two more E cakes, my wife and everyone loved these cakes, also did I mention each cake had a different separate filling I would recommend them to everyone ❤️❤️

This is the first time I ordered a custom made eggless cake from them for my husband’s 50th birthday. It was so bad and I had such an embarrassing experience in a party of 40 people. I never ever wrote reviews, but I was compelled to write this because of an extremely bad experience.The cake was dry and was smelling old. The decoration was sub par. For the price I paid, it was trash. But more than the price, it was an embarrassment and ruined my mood for the whole day and the next. To top it off, my son fell sick right after the party. I am hoping none of my guests fell sick because of that.

Everything I have ever ordered here tasted very fresh and delicious. There is always a good selection, i especially enjoy their cannolis and challah bread. It is a little more expensive than most but I have found them to be fresher than most so I think it's fair. The people there are always friendly and it's very clean and well organized.

where do i even start… the staff? never met a more welcoming and kind family. the service? efficient yet genuine. the treats? don’t even get me started. i go in every sunday to get my loaf for the week and i’ve never had an issue. the baguette is my personal fav! every single person behind the counter really helps when i’m indecisive and don’t know which treat i want even though it doesn’t matter what i pick because every single item in that display is delicious. one time, i bought a whole carrot cake and ate it as soon as i got home because i couldn’t control my self, it’s just too good! pro tip, get the brownies with the walnuts!to conclude, laffaire bakery is the most delicious and welcoming bakery i’ve ever been to and i’ve never been in an establishment that had a family environment.if you’re ever in the need for a yummy treat or are feeling down and need to be picked up go to laffaire in east brunswick, you won’t regret it.
