Service was exceptionally nice. I mean hard to beat, really really nice. Unfortunately, I wasn't very impressed by the food. Many people might like it, though: They serve really large portions. The food is Florida style and seems like family style cooking. What can I say, for me it was too heavy and creamy. But thumbs up for their really great service!

Metro Diner came highly recommended to us. Walking in, the place smelled heavenly. Based on photos we had seen we knew what we were having already, plus the food looked great based on the tables around us. All the staff seemed really nice and everyone was being checked on and having smiling conversations. A nice man was walking around making sure every one was good.

Chicken and waffles were delicious and portion was big enough to split. I was a bit disappointed in the service but hoping it was just an off day. We ended up waiting quite a bit for food to come out. No one came back to check if we needed a refill on drinks. At end of meal, we received our check but no one came back to collect. No one came back with boxes. I got up and got my own boxes and asked if I should pay up front and was told I should pay with waitress. I waited a bit longer but waitress never came back. I ended up paying with cash. I will give it another shot

I have visited most diners in the central Jersey Area; this is easily the best diner that I have visited. The coffee was fantastic, the eggs were actually cooked to medium as I asked (most places get the yokes too runny or hard) and the pancakes were almost perfect. 10/10 would dine here again.

Staff was fast, courteous and when they found out there was no strawberries for my waffle. Since, I was the first one, the waffle was comped for me. The Waffle was AMAZING!!! They also offered gluten free for my daughter. Great place to eat.

Went during brunch time during the weekend. There was a bit of a wait about 20 or so minutes. Decently busy place. When it came to our turn we were given a window table. Everything was nice and clean. A waiter too our order.

For my first time, I went with a party of seven. I had chicken and waffles with strawberry butter and a special sweet & spicy sauce. My food was amazing! My cohort enjoyed their food also. I plan to return as soon as is possible.

Amazing food and amazing people! Randomly stopped here on the way to DC and was so happy we did. Staff was so friendly. Very baby friendly! Very clean! It's diner food but so much better. Wish I got the chicken and waffles...it looked delicious. But was very happy with my fried chicken sandwich. The only thing missing is chocolate shakes. ?

Yesterday was the first day we visited Metro Diner. It has been so packed every weekend. I can honestly say it was worth the wait! The food was delicious and we had the opportunity and pleasure to meet the owner Mike and his wife Jennifer. She was decorating the restaurant for the holidays. Which looks like something out of of a Hallmark movie. It felt like home. I will definitely be back and look forward to coming here after a long day of holiday shopping to enjoy a fantastic meal. Great job Metro Diner!
This dinner is quite me. They have a good selection of menu items for breakfast and lunch. The manager makes rounds making sure everything is in order. Friendly staff. This place was very busy today (Black Friday).

They go out of their way to check on you and make sure that everything is good with your food. They got great combinations and different types of dishes. They are always adding stuff to their blackboard specials. Sometimes they repeat them but not very often. It's always good to stop in to see what they have new.

This place is absolutely fantastic. My girlfriend and I went in today for lunch and were downright thrilled with our meal and our service. The chicken and waffles were fantastic. Honestly the fried chicken is the best I’ve had around EB by far. I got the special, poached eggs and chicken fingers on a biscuit with a chorizo gravy. It was delicious.
