Too bougie for us & Joshua, the “manager” came over and pitched the catering hall attached. Ick

Wheelchair accessibility: It’s a big catering hall in east bumf*ck, nj. It is VERY ADA Accessible 👍🏾

I went out with some friends who booked the restaurant, I had some drinks at the bar and they were fine. Dinner was quick but the food was not good , bacon and tuna tartar app, the bacon was very fatty and undercooked. My steak was not well seasoned and outs friends did not like the bronzino. Bad night for this place the waitress was a kid and not really well rounded

There is a certain rhythm to restaurants like this—a kind of well-rehearsed seduction. The grand entrance through a sleek hotel lobby, the gleaming open kitchen, the low hum of money being spent all around you. It’s a performance designed to convince you that you are somewhere important, that the meal ahead will be something to remember. But then the food arrives, and you realize: this is all just very expensive theater.

The popovers, which should be golden and impossibly airy, are cold and lumpy, deflating at first bite like a bad soufflé. The octopus, that benchmark of kitchen confidence, is somehow both soggy and overcooked, a sad tangle resting atop charred broccoli that tastes more of kitchen neglect than culinary intention. The lobster dumplings? Rubbery, underseasoned, wholly forgettable. Even the coffee, which should at least provide a moment of quiet satisfaction, is thick, bitter, and best left untouched.

The wine is excellent. The liquor, even better. If you were to sit at the bar, swirling a well-made cocktail under the glow of carefully designed lighting, you might be fooled into thinking you were in a great restaurant. But a steakhouse that gets steak wrong isn’t a steakhouse—it’s a bar with a very ambitious menu.

David Burke is a chef who understands spectacle better than most, a man who has built an empire on the sheer force of his own creative energy. But here, as in many of his restaurants, the cracks in the foundation are clear. If he spent more time in the kitchen instead of spreading himself thin, perhaps the food would match the ambition. Instead, we have a place that looks the part but doesn’t live up to it.

Come back in a year, and it will likely be called something else. Some restaurants are built to last. Others are built to dazzle—if only for a moment.

Gimmicky and mediocre - at best. We waited far too long for drinks… the first round being the longest wait. How long does a beer and a glass of wine take to pour? The food was mediocre. We sat empty handed most of the time (no drinks in hand, no food in front of us) other than some measly pretzel sticks. The appetizers came out so early… before we even got our first round of drinks. You can tell they had been prepped and sitting for so long. The sauces had formed a film over them. The spinach lining the plates had bled green juices everywhere and become soggy. The “popovers” which are cheese stuffed bread were hard as a rock. My partner barely touched the lobster cavatelli entree. My steak was good though - it was the only enjoyable aspect. Our server was nice, but barely spoke to us. In the end we were slapped with an automatic 20% tip since it was Valentine’s Day weekend, ($65 on a 380$ bill). We paid it, although that tip was far too high for the crappy service. Server maybe said 5 words to us all night so I hope he enjoyed the easy money he made. We’ve dined at steakhouses with finer dining procedures and paid less. I haven’t been so disappointed like this in a while. I will never be back.

Service was virtually non-existent. It took us over 15 minutes to get beer and wine from the bar. The server never checked up on us, and, because it was a holiday, we were forced to give a 20% tip for absolutely horrible service. We saw our waiter less than 5 times the entire evening and went through multiple periods where we had nothing to eat or drink for 15+ minutes. To top it off, management went around to multiple tables by us to check in but never came to our table. And as we sat without food or drink, we got to watch the table behind us get top notch service because they were friends with the hostess, who was chatting it up with them at length.

The lobster dumplings were caked in cinnamon and served in a sauce that was clearly sitting out. It was congealed by the time it got to us. We both took one bite of the dumplings before deciding to not even touch them again. The lobster cavatappi was decent, and the filet mignon was good.

Overall, this place is over priced and not worth the money. If you want to charge what you’re charging, you need to justify it. And the terrible service and mediocre food was not worth what we spent. Most likely, I will never return.

My Wife & I dined at Orchard Park on Friday Evening, she had the Chicken, I had the Filet, both were outstanding. More outstanding was Evan our server. In all our years we've never had a better server ANYWHERE. His knowledge of the food served at Orchard Park and the differences and similarities of Chef David Burke's other restaurants was very informative. Evan offered some suggestions/alternates for some items on the menu that my Wife was unsure about and his suggestions were perfect and just what she was looking for. His tableside presentation of our meal included putting the finishing touches on the Clothesline Bacon right in front of us was a real treat. Evan made sure that our glasses were never empty and and that at no time were we unsatisfied with our dining experience. His Service was A++ and they have a real Gem with him on their roster. We will be requesting to sit in his section on our next visit to Orchard Park.

Our waiter was amazing and kind on Christmas Eve. The restaurant was clean and pretty. I got Twin Lobster Tails with Orzo pasta, A little sour Kevin McAllister mock tale which tasted mid, and good oily pretzels that come at your table when you walk in. I also ordered the angry lobster mac & cheese which was very spicy and too spicy, but the restaurant was amazing, I would go again.

Been here a handful of times and each time I go, I feel like the food has been less special and less tasteful each time. The food seems fresh and for the most part, prepared well, but it was very bland and not what I expect for these prices. With tip, and one drink each, our meal was approximately $250 for two. Again, just felt like there wasn’t much depth of flavor in the dishes and they were underwhelming. Our waitress and manager who came around were very nice. I think due to David Burke having so many locations now, you have a bunch of ok restaurants and none that are exceptional. What really annoyed me as well was the valet was $10. They have their own, huge parking lot connected to this place and it’s 20 yards away from the entrance. A place like this and the prices they charge there should absolutely be free valet. Even places in the city that use pricey parking garages to valet your vehicle, offer free parking upon validation with the restaurant. Again, it was an average meal but expect more from a DB establishment.

The food was ok. The service and atmosphere was excellent. Drinks started off great but went downhill by the end of dinner (sorry to be a snob but certain cocktails call for a single ice block/ball, regular ice chips cheapen it). Overall the evening felt grossly overpriced — we paid $150pp for a private dining room because we were a larger group, and that cost didn’t even include drinks — but I did enjoy the dance floor at the end.

Very good food.

The popovers were good, but too salty top. Lobster shrimp dumplings were ok, as the flavor was very subtle.

Duck was perfect, and so were the cocktails.

The sparkler for our wedding anniversary was a cute touch.

Our service was excellent. Though we were seated near the door of an almost empty restaurant, it looked out to the hotel reception area, and was not bad at all.

We arrived on time for the NYE event on Tue 12/31 - they made us wait 20’min for table - we waited another 15 min to be asked for drinks- another 15 min before reminding waiter about our drinks - the food? appy Horrible and cold - we all ordered steak except for one of us there were 7 and all
The steaks came out cold or under cooked - we sent them back - two of the ones we sent back had to be returned and were still bad - How do you mess up steak twice ? The waiter had some
Remorse but didn’t offer refund because one of our guest lost their appetite after the back and forth - the dessert was bad and finally the salad was the best thing - the entire cost per person was $155 - I would have expected more but unfortunately i give it 1 star - food was horrible - service bad - I was shocked - I’m expecting David Burke name behind this place - been to his other places - honestly - if i were him I’d remove my name that’s how bad it was - not worth the money and I’ve been to this place before and the food was bad - I thought I’d give it another chance and well - I guess now I learned my lesson - wish I could get a refund for this horrible experience on NYE - I’m the idiot that recommended it to my party of 7 - and I felt so horrible for them - never again! Sorry guys do better! Seriously and David Burke this place is NOT doing you justice at all!

I'm not one to write a review but I think the occasion warrants it. I went to dinner today, December 31, for a menu of $150 per person. I can say that the food was good, the atmosphere was fantastic, but the service wasn't up to par. First, we spent almost 40 minutes waiting. x a table when I reserved in advance for 8 am this day and I arrived 10 minutes before, then the waitress was not attentive, she did not explain to us that many of the dishes had prices x above $150 per person They served us food and we didn't have cutlery, I had to shout to the waitress to give me cutlery to eat, I wanted another wine and I had to wait, they weren't aware of our table, then for the dessert menu I also had to wait. wait and to make matters worse he gives me another menu that was not the dessert one and I was waiting and waiting to order dessert, in short the service was terrible but what really bothered me was that after poor attention from the waitress she got angry The bill was a $100 tip required when the service was terrible bad, very bad, not suitable for a restaurant of this height and such high prices, I always leave a tip in restaurants because I have been a waitress, but when the service is not good I do not It's fair that one has to pay for bad service, for me it was a waste of money, in short it makes up for the fact that the food was good but I didn't have the time I expected and to top it off almost $700 for two people when the dinner was supposedly $150 per person is really too expensive, and I have been to much better restaurants that are not as expensive and the attention is like kings, I'm sorry but I won't return
