We chose Avellino's Pizza & Grill Pizza Truck for our Customer Appreciation Event in June, and it was an excellent choice. The pizza was fresh, delicious, and enjoyed by everyone. With a large variety of pizzas, there was something for everyone, and every pie was a hit with both our customers and employees.

Ava and Antonio Porciello were wonderful to work with. They were friendly, organized, efficient, and kept everything running smoothly while serving fresh pizza to more than 100 customers and employees over the course of two hours. The line moved quickly, the pizza was consistently fresh, and the pricing was very reasonable.

I highly recommend Avellino's Pizza & Grill, whether you are looking for a great meal or a food truck for a special event. Their food, service, and professionalism helped make our event a success, and I would recommend them without hesitation.

Ordered the mozzarella sticks. Not sure why the sauce was so watery. Didn’t stick well to the sticks.

Did not try their location in Nissan nova, but I had a pleasure to meet the owner which is a really tiny guy with a food truck pizza and they were delicious

Food and service was fantastic. We came close to closing and viewed them still serve new customers even after hours. It's nice to see people with kind hearts still around.

We decided to try a new spot in our neighborhood since we already have a regular go-to nearby. We ordered a grandma-style square pie to go, but the pizza was only lukewarm—even though we live just five minutes away. At first glance, the pie looked promising, but the amount of cheese on each slice was a bit disappointing. It also reminded me of a Margherita-style pizza, with small pieces of fresh mozzarella.

The crust was a bit tough, and the cheese portion was definitely on the smaller side.
For over $26 plus tax, I expected more than just a thin piece of bread with sauce and maybe a quarter pound of cheese—or less. I was really hopeful since they’re so close to us, but we’ll have to go back to our usual spot.

One of the best pizzerias in the state of New Jersey. Pizza at this place is the best I've had anywhere. I mostly order their regular and pepperoni pies, but their pepperoni pizza is special for me because they use pepperoni that is not spicy and very tasty, unlike everywhere else where their pepperoni ruins the pizza for me. I have not tried their other pies or food, but considering how good those two pies were, I bet all other food is also great and made with love. This is what I call a real pizzeria!

Went to my cousin’s house for our yearly pool party and she had Avellino’s truck come and cater the party. It was awesome! The pizza’s were delicious as if you were ordering at the restaurant. They were so accommodating and had many different varieties of pizza that they made to order on the catering truck. It was a fun experience and I would definitely recommend them for catering.

Soppressata & sharp Provolone panini. Substituted the long hots for sundried tomatoes (would've ❤️ the 🌶 but stomach doesn't always agree these days 😑). Sandwich was worth the wait and made with authentic Italian ❤️. I would've paid more for the Sandwich but, glad I didn't have to. Avellino's is a staple in East Hanover for over 35 year and the family even longer. Love going here and being reminded of my youth.

Nice place. Great atmosphere. Great location. Staff was friendly. Polite. Only downside is the food. I wish it could have been more firm. It was a little sloppy and also the fella who handled my food wore no gloves while grabbing my chicken sandwich and continued to cut it in half and wrap it with no gloves or any kind of covering whatsoever. I found that to be a little bit gross.

A really great Italian restaurant. Food is authentic and tastes great. Definitely try the wood fired pizza you'll not regret it! When weather is nice you can sit outside to enjoy a nice Italian experience.

The lady who helped us was very pleasant so this review has nothing to do with the staff. The dining area was nice and clean but thats were the positives end! The food that we actually got was good but unfortunately there wasn't enough to even enjoy it. My sandwich had like 2 slices of prosciutto and two very small pieces of fresh mozzarella. My wife had a small bowl of pasta fagioli which was good but again very small portion. We were charged 7 DOLLARS for two small plastic juice tumblers of seltzer and 3.50 for a plain slice of pizza. The slice of pizza was the only thing that wasn't good, it tasted like it was out for days and dried up. To sum it up, food is good but portions way to small and prices are ridiculous.

Follow up on March 3, 2025 to original review. Thank you for your quick response. Just to clarify a few things, first thing is yes I am from this area, within minutes of your place actually. And yes prices have went up for sure, but we as the consumer make up the increase plus some as you know. We were in the pizza business for over 40 years. We were on Broome st in Manhattan, on the boardwalk in seaside heights as well as two shops in northern NJ so we are very familiar with how things work. So when you say the beverage prices are par for the area I beg to differ. When you purchase a bottle of seltzer yes perhaps but fountain carbonated water in plastic tumblers is a whole different thing. But a the end of the day your place is clean, you have pleasant staff and even the best hitters strike out so maybe it was a bad day so I will be back to give it another try. Ciao
