Bill & Harrys is the best Chinese food I’ve had in Essex County . It’s our go-to when we are home and it’s comfort food that is authentically Chinatown flavor and Jersey style.
The fish fillet in garlic and ginger sauce - so much fish, so fresh and delicious!

The most expensive Chinese in NJ. 21 dollars for chicken wings to go. Small portion, wrong order and he charged me a tip when it was for take out.
Horrible experience.

I came in with one other person for dinner. While the food was decent, the service was below what we expected, so we decided to leave a standard 10% tip. That’s when the waiter came over, looked at our check, shook his head, and pointed to the recommended 22% tip at the bottom of the receipt. He then proceeded to gossip with the other servers while they all stood near the exit. They stared at us trying to intimidate us into changing the tip. This behavior was completely unprofessional. Avoid this place—it’s out of hand.

I used to go to Bill Harry's and food was very good. I usually go to Chu's down the road and they were closed and went to B & H Worst chineese food ever. I inquired and as suspected new owners. I do not recommend.

Our quest for a great dine-in Chinese restaurant continues so we decided to try Bill & Harry’s. My wife and I both started with egg rolls. They were ok, but not the big, fat, deep fried version I recall from my childhood in NYC. I also tried the wonton soup. The broth was good, but it only had two skimpy, but tasty, wontons. The soup had scallions, but no pork slivers. For a main course my wife had sesame chicken which she really enjoyed. It was served with steam broccoli. For a main course I had the pork dumplings. They were pretty good, but a bit gummy. I was disappointed that they were a bit cold. Overall the food was ok, but the menu is a bit pricey. The search goes on!

First time here yesterday on a Sunday. Food was mediocre. We had edamame, a sizzling beef and shrimp platter, orange chicken. The sizzling platter would have been better had it not been over cooked it had a burnt taste. The rest was ok. The place is small, but cozy. The servers we had were not welcoming at all. We were basically rushed the whole dinner and brought the check at 8pm. Rushed out the doors. They close at 8:30pm. Just poor Customer Service. Not friendly. I do not recommend even if there is nothing around open on a Sunday. Poor experience. I would not recommend at all.

I go here a lot. I love their food, especially their salt and pepper. Shrimp. I have found that when you get your leftovers to go, they don't always give you your entire meal. The salt and pepper shrimp comes with chopped up lettuce and crispy onions and hot peppers. When I got my leftovers to go they put the shrimp in the container but nothing else. That means all the seasoning was missing when I got it home. I was very disappointed. I called to speak to them about and all they were concerned about was whether or not I got all of my shrimp. They simply couldn't understand when I told them that the rest of my meal was missing. They were not interested in fixing the problem. Regardless of all this, I do still go back. I just checked my takeout before I leave.

Did not feel welcome at all. The server is very distanced, with no emotions like a robot.
