Charlies restaurant is a great tasting little gem in the town of East Orange. The waffles are delicious. The potatoes are delicious they make the eggs just right I really enjoy eating food from Charlies. The owner has always been kind to me, as well as the young ladies behind the counter. Always great food always great prices and the best uptown and Midtown drinks that I’ve had.

Great customer service and was comfortable inside but.....the food was anything but great or.... good. Processed mealy beef bacon which isn't bacon AT ALL. DID NOT SERVE FISH OR CHICKEN. This is a breakfast spot and is hailed as great. I am questioning the pallet of some people. Grits were bland like chalk. Not buttery or creamy. The toast was wonderful????
