This store is horrible the only way you can get exactly what you pay for or order is going in person because if it’s online like uber eats DoorDash ect they seem to always mess up and put whatever they feel like putting order restaurants call and notify you of items unavailable and offer something else this is my 3rd time in the past 2 weeks trying to give it the benefit of the doubt but terrible service.

KFC – Central Ave, East Orange needs serious help!
This location has the most incompetent staff I’ve ever seen. Nobody reads the order tickets, nobody pays attention, and it’s like they just don’t care. How do you serve food with no utensils when the ticket literally says “please provide utensils”? You expect people to eat chicken and sides with their hands? That’s ridiculous.
Every single time, something is wrong — missing sauces, wrong items, or half the order forgotten. Then they’ve got the nerve to charge full price! The management clearly doesn’t care, and the staff needs retraining immediately.
Reading is fundamental, and if you can’t even follow basic instructions or make sure customers get what they paid for, you shouldn’t be working in food service. KFC corporate really needs to look into this location because this level of carelessness is beyond unacceptable.

I went there on September 18th 2025 45 minutes before closing. As I approached the drive thru to order a female said “ we’re closed” before I can respond she said “yeah bye” I won’t return to this location

Ordered via delivery service, the 3 piece meal 2 for 1! 2 sides were missing as well as 5he drink! Also ordered a large potato wedges, and that was missing too! You would think someone would substitute or call! Not at this KFC in East Orange, NJ! Also, they delivered a Pepsi without a safety seals! Really, in this day and time! Smh!

I know it's fast food so you shouldn't expect much but even by that low bar they still managed to disappoint. Fries had an odd taste, chicken was not cooked entirely, and mash potatoes looked and smelled like it had been left out for a whole. Would recommend if you want to experience mild food poisoning, otherwise go somewhere else.

It was a great experience, although the line was long (Dinner time ). The manager was so gracious to me. Because I was there so long, he offered me a free drink to make it for me. I got home only to find out that my order was messed up. I called the restaurant, and a fine gentleman named Jadir answered. I explained to him that my order was messed up. He apologized for the inconvenience and offered to make it for me. I returned the next day, and my order was corrected this time. Thank you so much, Jadir and his staff. You are a wonderful manager, and you have great customer service. Keep up the good work. I will be back again soon
The place is really moving. People come and go. Food is fresh and hot. My order to this date has been to the T. No problems service is fantastic workers are polite and friendly. Highly recommend to all. Also prices are great.
