I waited over 45 minutes for my food, only to discover one of my wing orders was completely wrong. I specifically ordered sweet onion wings (and repeated it twice), but when I got home, I found they gave me plain wings with no sauce.
I had to drive all the way back in the middle of a thunderstorm just to fix their mistake. When I got there, the young lady at the counter admitted, “I didn’t know you wanted sweet onion, my bad.” How do you not “know” when the customer clearly said it multiple times?
To make things worse, she then asked me to send an extra $2—for the sauce—after already messing up my order and wasting my time. Out of respect (especially since this is a Muslim-owned business and I’m Muslim myself), I sent the $2 and politely asked if they could just re-dip the wings so I could actually enjoy them hot.
Instead, the cook came out claiming I “never paid extra,” when I literally had just sent the money. I only sent what the cashier told me to send—it’s not the customer’s job to know exact pricing. After another 15–20 minutes of waiting, I was finally handed a cup of sauce with the excuse that they couldn’t re-dip the wings.
So here I am, back home with cold, soggy wings, extremely disappointed and honestly feeling scammed. I didn’t get what I paid for, and I wasted almost two hours in the process. This experience is a reminder to be very careful where you spend your money—because clearly, customer satisfaction is not a priority here.

First off I waited a hour and a half to get my food I was going to cancel the order but then my food mysteriously appeared . When I got the food the turkey chops was cooked very hard and the cabbage was not cooked it was very crunchy as they say your first impression is a lasting impression I would never come back here again lite and soul yall took my soul

Food was Ok . Waited 45 mins for Food to come out Warm I was expecting for my food to be Hot At Least. Mac and Cheese could had been better the noodles for the Mac was well over done. I went to L&S and ordered catfish Mac and cheese and candied yams from a really sweet young lady. My food was cooked, so right, and smelled like heaven. The staff were so nice. The meal came with cornbred, and the cornbread was so moist and good I wanted to slap my momma. Im so glad that they're right by me. I highly recommend 👌🏿 Most folk make cornbread so dry, not here. Saw this place on Instagram and was really excited to try it, the food looked amazing, so I decided to give it a shot.
I placed my order and paid $75 upfront, expecting a 30-minute wait, which I was totally fine with. But now I’m writing this review at the 75-minute mark, still waiting for my food. No updates, no check-ins, no communication.
I completely understand that popular spots can get overwhelmed, especially during busy hours — but if the wait is going to be this long, customers at least deserve to be kept in the loop. A simple update, a realistic time frame, or even a text alert system would go a long way toward improving the experience.
The food might be amazing, but the service process needs serious attention. People are spending their hard-earned money and time communication and transparency should be part of the hospitality too.
