I ordered from Magela's for the very first time today, July 12, 2025, through Uber Eats. I ordered Legume w/rice and sos pwa, and also Griot with plantains. The food was delicious! I want to make a suggestion, the legume had a piece of crab in it (I have seafood allergies), perhaps make a note on Uber Eats, hence I should've done my due diligence and called to inquire, but most Haitian restaurants I order from have beef or no meat at all. Not sure why there are so many low-rated reviews. I’ve been ordering from this place for a while, and the food is usually very good. However, a couple of days ago I ordered the legume with jon jon rice and unfortunately, both my daughter and I ended up with stomach issues and the runs. This was the first time I’ve ever felt unwell from their food.
