Dominick's Restaurant & Bar - Al Di La Caterers

visited this restaurant Valentine’s Day with my partner expecting a nice Valentine’s Day experience, and it was a truly disappointing experience. Our reservation was at 7:45 PM, but we didn’t get our appetizer until 10:30 PM—this was only the beginning of our issues. When we were seated, our server, Li, seemed uninterested in attending to us. After the meal, the host handed us our bill, but as I was about to pay, Li returned and took my credit card without explanation. She held it for an extended period and was reluctant to return it. When I finally got my card back, I noticed I was charged $130 more than what was on the bill. I approached the manager to resolve the issue, but instead of offering a solution, he tried to justify the extra charges with excuses. The entire staff seemed more focused on avoiding responsibility than actually addressing the problem. While the food itself wasn’t bad, the service and billing issues were absolutely unacceptable. On top of all of this, it took over an hour and a half for my wife to receive a glass of wine. I will not be returning to this establishment, and I cannot recommend it to anyone. The lack of professionalism and accountability was simply too much. On a side note 10 days later they are attempting to issue another charge to my credit card for another $140. Do not trust this restaurant, they will record your credit card information and attempt to rob you days later.

Waited hours to be served and food wasn’t anything special

We were there for a private party. The service was not great. It took a very long time between courses and I had to ask for diet soda multiple times before I finally got it. The food was good though.

Overall, the dining experience was very good. The staff was extremely attentive. The tables were large enough to encourage ordering many appetizers. There was also entertainment.

Had a family style birthday dinner for 17 people.
Food was delicious!! Family style was the way to go.
Service was on point and the owner, Dominick, was not only very helpful with menu suggestions, but also very personable. I felt like I was speaking with an old friend or member of my family.
They also beautifully accommodated one of our guests who has food allergies. So very grateful for that.
Side note: the fried calamari was cooked perfectly. Not greasy and very tender.
The vodka sauce was DE-LI-CIOUS! As was the chicken savoy, eggplant rollantini (tender and not bitter) and pork tenderloin.
Can’t wait to come back for dinner again!

I recently hosted my daughter's baby shower at Dominic's in East Rutherford, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. The venue itself was absolutely stunning, creating the perfect atmosphere for our celebration.
The food was outstanding, with every dish surpassing our expectations in both flavor and presentation. The service was impeccable; the staff went above and beyond to ensure that every guest was well taken care of throughout the event.

For someone who goes to a lot of restaurants, this was a mind blowing experience. For starters Louis was a fantastic server, extremely careful and pleasant, AND THE FOOD!!!! Oh my God the food is FANTASTIC!!!! From passion fruit martinis to expresso martinis, the octopus app and the Italian kisses are to die for, main entree to die for, AND THE HOMEMADE DESSERTS!!! I am incredibly pleased and amazed of how great this place is, and Dominick is very caring as well! 1000% recommend this place!

Great place with fantastic service. Victor (our waiter) was an attentive server and made sure we had everything we needed. The owner even came over and spoke to us for a bit. I’d go back 100%!

I Love this place. Dominick always makes you feel special. Had the Sunday Gravy, my sister had Veal OssoBucco and my Brother had the Short ribs. Everything was Fantastic.like a gift from the Food Gods. And we finished with a cup of delicious strong coffee and Leminchello cake. Simply fantastic.Dom does catering too n during the week there r bands and Karaoke on Thursday. A great place for family and friends. Love this place.
