Went on a date here. And the one star is for the date and the aesthetic. Service was slow. The waitress wasn’t very friendly, and I wasn’t a fan of the food at all. Was hoping for a better experience.

We went to Gusto on Monday October 11 around 6pm. The waitress was very nice and friendly. All of our questions were answered politely. We received our drinks within 5 minutes of ordering them. We quickly received a basket of warm bread and a dish of high quality olive oil with olives. Our appetizers arrived shortly after. The crispy mozzarella triangles are HUGE! and delicious. The marinara dipping sauce was also very good. We were a party of 5 and everyone loved the food. Steamed clams were flavorful. The fried calamari was perfectly crispy. The pizza was delicious with a nice thin and crispy crust. Prices are reasonable considering the serving sizes are pretty big. The restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated. I especially love the beautiful flower wall which would make a great photo op background for a special occasion. My only suggestion is to add some more non carbonated options to the drinks, à nice lemonade would be delightful.

Food was phenomenal. The server was great, she was so friendly and we were a huge table of 12 guests and she still took extra time to take care of us. Its also really well decorated, I would say the biggest negative is the parking lot felt very small so a lot of people had to park on the street a block or so away from the restaurant.

The place is nice. The service was good and very amicable.
However, the food wasn't the greatest. I ordered the seafood risotto from the special menu. It was bland. No taste or flavor and the risotto was undercooked. The fried calamari was decent.

I've only done pizza delivery at Gusto but it slaps. Holds up pretty well and it seems like quality ingredients. Tryna find a solid pizza joint in the Lyndhurst/Rutherford area. At the top here.

The pizza is great and so are all dinners, especially Penne vodka with chicken.

I had a very disappointing experience at this location. While the waitress started off polite, the service quickly went downhill. There was a long wait just to receive complimentary bread and oil (over 30 minutes), and even worse—there was hair in the food. Orders were incorrect, fountain drinks weren’t offered, and they don’t even serve alcohol.
To make matters worse, when it came time to pay, the waitress actually questioned the tip I left and asked for more—something I found completely inappropriate given the poor service. Her attitude shifted, and she became rude and entitled.
Between the slow service, hygiene issues, and overall unprofessionalism, I cannot recommend this restaurant. Save your time and money—this place is not worth it.

Bad service. Waiter was rude. Never asked for beverages only brought out water. It took over 30 minutes for just three 12 inch pizzas even though the restaurant was empty. Horrible service I’m never returning!
The food was good , however the lady was so nice at first until it was was time to pay. Me and my family felt personally targeted because she said we HAD to tip to pay, she didn’t offer drinks and was very ungrateful for the 20 dollar tip. It felt like we were singled out. She was extremely disrespectful at the end and I’m disappointed. Not to mention the HAIR in cousins food (which we still had to pay for)

I wanted to support a local spot, but unfortunately, the food missed the mark. We ordered the meatballs, calamari, baked clams, mussels, the “fughttaaboutit” dish, and the Mediterranean salad. Sadly, everything was either bland or dry. The flavors just didn’t come through, and the texture on several dishes felt off.
This place does have potential, the concept is there, but the execution needs attention. With some improvements in seasoning, preparation, and overall consistency, it could really shine. For now, though, other nearby restaurants outshine this one by far.
Also one server on the floor, slower than usual service but great service. Please appropriately staff.

We had a graduation party, and everything was perfect. Our servers, Marie and Debbie, were beyond accommodating. All our guests raved about the room and the food. I highly recommend Gusto.
