Ordered spring rolls which were ever I ordered them they were vegetables only well they had shrimp in them which I'm highly allergic to thank goodness I noticed or would of went to hospital also the rice smelled fishy the delivery guy was nice

Entrance is welcoming as well as the staff, decorated beautifully dining area offers soft lighting. Not your average take out-upscale so is the quality of the food. Great 'lil resturant , next time will treat myself to have dinner at The Rice Shop!!

So I decided to try a new spot and unfortunately I didn't read the reviews 1st. I spent $40 and u can see what I got in yhe images. I ordered the pepper steak and fried rice. I wanted to try the pineapple fried rice. The lady said it was $2 dollars more, I said np. Sadly they just threw some can pinapples in bland fried rice. Also the steak had a weird texture very soft not like steak at all. Next order was chicken and broccoli with white rice. Rice was good. Chicken also had odd texture. Finally shrimp lomein, not bad pretty basic nothing special. The 2 stores is for the fried chicken it was pretty good. So in short I won't order from the again. They can do better.

I haven't ordered anything from Rice Shop in approximately 10 years after having moved away but recently I remembered how much that I had always enjoyed their food therefore I decided to give them a call on New Year's Eve because my loved ones and I were absolutely craving some good quality Chinese takeout food in order to commemorate the occasion and to be quite honest everything (aka the Scallion Pancakes, Crispy Honey Chicken, Eggrolls, Orange Chicken, Shrimp Egg Fu Yuang, Beef Fried Rice, Chicken With Pineapple Fried Rice and Wonton Egg Drop Soup) was just as hot, fresh and delicious as I had remembered it being back in the day when I used to live over at good ol' 409 River Renaissance in East Rutherford and would regularly order from here once a week and apparently now I am going to have to start ordering food from here again much more often. Unsolicited testimonial and a heartfelt thank you kindly to the folks over at Rice Shop...✌?
