Best Szechuan food in a 25 mile radius and I will die on this hill.
Wow, what a hidden gem! After passing crowded eaterys with long lines we walked a little extra and found the perfect spot. It was nice and quiet and we were able to relax peacefully and enjoy a good meal before heading back out into the belly of the beast. The portions were family style and the prices were very fair and reasonable. The tap water tasted like tap, but that's not a shocker. You get what you pay for, haha. Don't hesitate to walk just a few extra minutes for a great dinner experience.
Absolutely mind numbing food, pun intended! So many vegan options and decent portion sizes.
Very authentic, tasty and not overly salty or spicy
I had a very disappointing experience at Szechuan Opera Restaurant. I ordered the sesame cold noodles, and it literally came with just noodles and sesame paste—nothing else, not even a few slices of cucumber, which should be the bare minimum. The Chuanbei liangfen was just as bad: plain starch jelly with no garnish at all, not even a sprinkle of cilantro. The mala xiangguo was honestly a disaster—worse than something someone who can’t cook would throw together at home. And don’t even get me started on the pan-fried buns—the filling was absolutely awful, clearly some kind of cheap pre-made stuff. Only the dough was remotely edible. For a restaurant, this is beyond disappointing. If you can’t get even the basics right, maybe you shouldn’t be open in the first place. The whole meal for two, with tip, came out to $78—honestly, we would’ve been better off grabbing some fried chicken at the food court. What a waste of money. If you can’t do the basics of Sichuan food right, maybe you shouldn’t be in business at all.
Came on a Saturday and was craving real Chinese food. This place does not disappoint. Great service and nice interior. The food was very high quality

The food is so good.
The food is very good, we were delighted and I would return without thinking twice. It has no comparison with Chinese street food. I would spend the same and without quality, this restaurant is very good. I recommend it 100%.
I came in the mall after work during a weekday for some dinner, just so happened to have passed by this restaurant it looked nice so I walded in took 1 look at the menu and immediately ordered the grilled whole fish it looked delicious and it delivered the spices and aroma were intoxicating and warmed me up immediately!

It’s a lovely ,low-key restaurant at least during the week when we went and the service was actually very good, polite, friendly ,attentive. The problem is the pricing. It’s too high, and while the quality is good, and I understand, they have to pay a premium rent being in the mall, you can’t charge me maximum and then also charge me for rice and tea! That’s an insult, And particularly disturbing was the fact that they then cheaped out on the protein. The lettuce cups had barely any chicken at all, and the duck bao had literally a sliver the size of half my pinky of duck in it. Almost nothing. The dumplings and the shrimp dish however were very good.

Good food, great service and beautiful atmosphere. They don't sit you that close with other patrons so you can actually enjoy your dine-in experience. The prices are a tad on the pricey side and the food comes out in different times but other than that, this was an enjoyable experience.

Malicious intent? I even ate a good amount of the red peppers but this is what’s left over after eating the I3 beef.

The most disgusting pickled fish I have ever eaten
Expensive, small portions, pre-made dishes are fine
May I ask how you can make pickled fish so unpalatable?
And there is such a thick fishy smell

I did not have a good experience here. We ordered soup dumplings for appetizers and we never got it; moving along to entree general tso chicken and walnut shrimp. The chicken had zero flavor and shrimp was like pancake battered shrimp super weird, both sauce for sure had food coloring and were not what they were suppose to be. Thanks for nothing. If you look at other table nobody finished their food.
