I had my graduation party at Lucy's Parlor at The Roosevelt. It was perfect! Everyone loved walking through the bookshelf into the speakeasy! All my guests raved about the food. Multiple people even went up for thirds. People complimented the bartender, Nick, on how good he was and how receptive he was throughout the party. The bus person was so quick and attentive. Ally and the owners were so kind and accommodating. I'm so glad I chose to have my party here. The price was extremely fair, especially for this area. You will definitely get your money's worth. Highly recommend and would have my party here again!

We have been here a few times and have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere!
We had planned to spend NYE celebrating at the Roosevelt event with our frienda
Our Tickets were purchased in advances and unfortunately, on NYE morning we had a family emergency and unable to attend.
I called Alli and she was so understanding and helpful and arranged to provide us with a gift card for a future use. It truly meant so much to us and luckily we were able to use the gift card a few days later for a birthday celebration! The food and staff were amazing! And we will definitely be back again for sure!
Thank you Roosevelt staff we are truly grateful that there are still many kindhearted people in the world.

I had high expectations based on the description and photos. While the service was good, the food was only okay and leaned a bit bland. The biggest disappointment, however, was the so-called speakeasy. Having visited speakeasies in New York and Miami, I was genuinely looking forward to the experience at the Roosevelt, but upon entering it felt like just another bar.
The atmosphere was the complete opposite of what one expects from a speakeasy—bright, loud, and lacking any sense of intimacy or mystery. To better align with the concept, I’d suggest dimming the lights, curating music that sets a relaxed, moody vibe, eliminating food service, and turning off the TV. With those changes, it could potentially become a space worthy of being called a speakeasy.

We had our company holiday party at The Roosevelt and everything was wonderful! All arrangements were made with Keith who is professional and experienced. Our event was in the private room upstairs and the staff was extremely tentative and the food was delicious. Shot out to a great staff, Ceci, Ally, Brian & Thomas.

My friends and I were visiting NJ area from NY and saw the reviews for this restaurant and decided to give it a try. We arrived and found parking right away across the street. We were seated in the speakeasy area of the restaurant. Very cool. Out waiter was super attentive and friendly. We ordered the calamari and white wine muscles for appetizers. 2 of my friends got burgers which they both enjoyed, and my husband and I shared the skirt steak which was delicious. Their truffle fries are excellent, and they sang happy birthday for my friends birthday. We tried their lava cake for desert which was a special and it was rich and delicious. For 3 entrees, 2 appetizers and 4 sodas it was under $150. The food truly was spectacular along with the service. Highly recommend.

Very nice resturants. The speakeasy downstairs was very private and personal. Food and drinks were amazing. The staff was wondering. Definitely will go back.

We recently had a work holiday in the private party room and it was a great experience. Sorayda, the party manager was great and made arranging the party very easy! She took care of all of the details. The night started with passed appetizers. The staff that was going around with them was very very friendly and there was more than enough. The appetizers were elevated and delicious- and it was one of the best cocktail hours we’ve ever had. After that, we had a sit down buffet dinner that was equally delicious. We were able to control the music and play our favorite songs. The space was great- and very private- that we didn’t feel at all that we were in a restaurant (although the restaurant itself is also great!)
As great as the food was- the real star of the show was Brian, our bartender. He was amazing behind the bar, managing all of our drinks, and even running upstairs and grabbing High Noons.
Overall, we had a great experience with the Roosevelt and we would highly recommend it for private parties.

Ally, Nick, and Cici did an amazing job on our party reservation on 12/6. They made the event go so smoothly, our guests loved it, and truly made the event so special. Highly recommend for you next event!

My husband and I threw his 55th Birthday at The Roosevelt earlier this month. With very little notice, Keith, Alli, and the staff helped make this night extra special & allow us to host about 35 people in the bar area. Alli helped with the menu selections and everyone loved each dish! The DJ of the night was DJ Joey G who had everyone dancing, including other people not in the party! They heard the music and enjoyed the party too! Alli and the servers and bartenders all made sure everyone was taken care of, from our older guests to the birthday boy. We appreciated everything and definitely recommend this venue!

Tuna tartare and smash burger were fabulous and loaded with flavor. The atmosphere and live music was a nice bonus. Staff were friendly with a clean dressed appearance, but lacked a little attentiveness. I requested dessert and it took over 10 minutes after ordering for our waiter to come and tell us they were out of that particular dessert. Waited several more minutes for our check after requesting it. All around great vibe and food for the value, would come back again!

I just celebrated my 30th birthday in the speakeasy at The Roosevelt in Rutherford and had an incredible experience. The vibe was perfect, the drinks were top-tier, and the food was excellent. The staff was attentive and made the whole night feel effortless. Whether you’re grabbing drinks or hosting an event, this place is a gem. Highly recommend! 🎉🥂

I had an incredible first experience at the Roosevelt largely thanks to the bartender this past Friday evening. Their attention to detail and accommodating demeanor was a great impact. He is a true asset to this establishment.
I started off with the mussels in marinara which was absolutely delicious that I requested for more bread to clean the sauce off the plate lol. The halibut was superb and the burger was delicious.
The establishments ambiance has a vibrant vibe. Every corner of it is instagram worthy lol. The chic decor makes this place a visual delight. They have an outdoor seating as well.

Got there about 20 minutes after opening and sat at the bar. On Sundays they have happy hour all day. It’s a very nice place. Very spacious and has dedicated parking. We ordered a few things.
Spicy Tuna Tartare: wasn’t spicy, didn’t taste fresh which wasn’t a deterrent to me as this isn’t a seafood restaurant or fine dining. Next time I’d pass on that. Bavarian Pretzel: amazing. Very tasty. Came out nice and hot. That rarebit cheese sauce? Oh honey that can come home with me anytime. Absolutely delicious. And this is coming from someone who hates that fake cheese, cheese whiz type taste. Margherita Pizza: didn’t come out hot which is probably why I wasn’t a fan of it. It was pretty mediocre for such a basic pizza. And the food didn’t come out all together, so not sure why that didn’t come out hot. Wings and waffles: Tasty buffalo wings. The waffles actually taste like funnel cake which was a nice surprise.
➡️ THEN. The burger came out and that is why this review dropped. It had a small hair on the side of the plate and a closer look at the rest of the plate, you’ll see a long hair on the pickle. That was disappointing but happy to have tried the place nonetheless.
