Disappointing Takeout Experience
We’ve previously enjoyed dining in and taking out from Bawarchi Biryani Point, but this visit was very disappointing. On this occasion, we picked up our order, which took 1 hour 35 minutes to be ready, 20 minutes past the original pick-up time. This is very common at this restaurant, long unnecessary wait times, if told 45mins then fine, 20-40mins beyond that is ridiculous. When we finally received the order, several items were incorrect, and it took an additional 15mins to fix.

Apart from two dishes and the chutneys, the food quality was poor. The sambar was especially bad, it tasted off, possibly from an old batch, and we had to throw it away.

Service at the host stand was also very frustrating. The lady there seemed visibly unhappy, offered no apology for the delay or mistakes, and was rude when I asked how long the food would take, simply saying I needed to wait.

I don’t like leaving below-average reviews, but I hope this feedback helps the restaurant recognize where improvements are needed. This visit was far below the standards we’ve come to expect from this location.

“I tried the goat biryani here and it was absolutely delicious meat, perfectly cooked rice, and rich flavors with just the right amount of spice. The portion size was generous too. The employees were very welcoming, attentive, and quick with service, which made the dining experience even better. Definitely a place I’d recommend if you’re craving authentic Indian biryani!”

I bought dam bariyani but had very bad experience chicken was all red with blood. I spoke to one of there employee no refund or replacement no correction. I will not give them my business anymore. Ilyas Joseph

I will never come back to this restaurant. They charged 18% gratuity plus tips for party of four people. Which is unreasonable. They didn’t give us the receipt when we paid. We did our own calculations and went back to the restaurant. Then they gave us the receipt. I asked them then since you charged for the 18% gratuity for people, why did you take the tips. Anyway they didn’t give us any cash back.

I used to enjoy ordering from here, but the quality has really dropped. Once I was served stale biryani and told it was “fresh.” More recently, I ordered a mutton biryani family pack that turned out to be mostly rice with barely any mutton, maybe they’re saving it for VIP customers? Complaints were ignored and no manager followed up. Sadly, I won’t be ordering again. WON’T BE RECOMMENDING. Thanks

I thoroughly enjoyed the 555 chicken, karampodi fish, chicken fried rice, and biryani at this Indian restaurant. It’s definitely the best Indian place in New Jersey.

We went to this restaurant from temple which is very close to and we were starving and we didn’t eat anything reason
1. When we dine at 5.00 pm atmosphere was so smelly and restaurant was empty , we were 4 people and 1 baby so we choose to sit in bigger table but they refused to let us sit they said if we sit in bigger table they will charge extra gratuity where as restaurant was empty.
2. We were in table and looking menu two staff was chatting each other but didn’t ask for water.
3. We asked for water and brought normal water so we asked for ice they said they don’t have ice in restaurant silly thing is restaurant don’t have ice machine.
4. We wanted to order food so we ordered naan,dhosa,biryani, dal makhani staff said they only have biryani right now bcz they don’t have a chef inside the kitchen .
5. So we asked what food can you bring fast bcz we have to go back to NY he said chef will come at 5.20 pm where as restaurant was already opened at 5.00 pm .
6. And lastly the staff said he can bring biryani which was made early morning and wanted us to eat not fresh the food which was made 5 hrs earlier.
7. And lastly he said if you want to wait for chef you can wait up to 10 to 15 minutes so we left without eating anything .
So why restaurant chef is not ready before opening a restaurant at 5.00 pm at least he should be at restaurant before 15 min so customer can dine in by 5.00 pm which says open and why chef coming late and why there’s an open sign if chef was not there by time and why staff wants customers to eat biryani which was made early morning .
Restaurant really need to improve management.
