Vatan is by far my favorite restaurant. I order fromthem most of the time ( Mostly deliveries). I must say their rates are very decent and the food quality and taste is also awesome. My personal favorite is their “Modi Sandwich”. I also ordered eggless cake recently and that was nice as well. I am a vegetarian and I definitely recommend this restaurant for my fellow vegetarians. ???

We ordered catering for house warming party.The curry, biryani, naans and dessert were good. The appetizers are too spicy for kids.Now to the bad part —First of, they did not send the white rice that was clearly included in the order placed. After following up, they sent it almost 1.5 hr later by which most of guests finished their lunch. Due to this rice, dal and tindora fry(ordered specifically for rice) all got left while we ran out of naans and biryani(special order). Lot of food went waste and very inconvenient for the guests with kids.We ordered for 60 with a per plate charge and the largest tray size serves 50. So, we asked to give 2 medium tray which serves 30 each and this request though was approved during the order was not obliged at delivery. They sent only large trays which means we did not get what we paid for, we paid for 60 and got for 50 as well as one item missing/delayed.

It’s totally an under rated restaurant. Food is next level and totally worth. Price is extremely reasonable. Yes seating area is tight and during peak time service gets slower. Excellent food. Ordered sweet corn soup, Makki ki Roti and The best Navratan Korma I ever had. Service was excellent. Food was made fresh and served piping hot. Sandy, you are a very pleasant host there. Would encourage all to come here and try good food.

Warning we ate at this restaurant, me and my husband and kids, we all git sick, next day we had such bad stomach bug, my both daughters and me were vomiting, we have to pick the kids from school, they have bad stomach cramps. Please do not eat here, you will get sick.

This restaurant has possibly the best Gujarati thali in Central Jersey. This has been our major pull and we keep going to savor authentic Gujarati cooking over the last couple of years.However, over the last year or so, while the quality of food is still top notch, their service level has dropped to such a dismal level, you better order everything at once and may God save you if you want seconds or order anything else, no one will come to help! Guess they might have found an ivy league MBA to revamp their business and therefore it has lost its soul of serving customers by keeping bare minimum staff and focusing only on delivery.In our most recent visit, Feb 2024, we were craving Gujarati food but were actually scared to go to this place. For good measure, we called 30 mins in advance and placed our Gujarati Thali dine-in order in advance. And after we sat down, we got the thalis after 50 mins!! There is also a bit of shrinkflation with their thali. Earlier, they used to serve the farsan snacks before the actual thali was brought in, freshly made and with an assortment of red and green chutneys. The thali itself used to have papad, salad and pickle, all of those are now missing. The entire experience was dismal to the point we were actually saddened by our experience. I asked the check counter later and he told me that they have a lot of delivery orders! Fine! No more dine-ins at this place then!!!

Best Indian restaurant in the area. We have been going to Vatan Jersey City location and happy to have a closer location in our area. The food here is always fresh and great flavored. Food tests like how it was meant to be back home!We have been going to Vatan East Windsor regularly and during special occasions and the food is consistent. Ankit-bhai has a smile and the staff is welcoming. The Gujarati, Indo-Chinese, and Thalis are a must.Kid-friendliness: Kids are always welcomes with a smile.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is easy to access and has ample seating.
