I loved the place—it’s very nice, with a clean atmosphere and incredible, delicious food. Just one recommendation: improve the customer service. It’s terrible; the waiters don't pay attention to the tables or what the customer needs.
We had dinner on the recommendation of our AirBnB host and were very impressed by the Hamba-gu, a dish that we had never had before. I loved all the sides except the potato salad, because my French palate cannot appreciate mashed potatoes that are cold and sweet (I also am not fond of sushi in general for similar reasons: because it is made of fish and rice that are served cold). Our only regret is that we were too full to try desserts, so we’ll have to come back with...
This hidden gem is sooo goood. We had the pork Katsu and the original Hamba-gu. The katsu was perfectly crispy. The Hamba-gu was well-seasoned and a large portion. Each entree comes w miso soup, small salad, potato salad and velvety smooth steamed egg w mushrooms (my favorite). It is a pleasant atmosphere and very good service. Highly recommend and we live 45 min drive away!!
