Benihana has fell off at least this location. We waited over 30 minutes for our drink order to be taken. It was eventually taken by a manager. When the waiter came he did not provide water we had to ask multiple times. He was missing for most of the time. The chef Herman I think is his name. He was fantastic.

We recently celebrated my sister's birthday at Benihana in Edison with my two sisters, the birthday girl, my daughter, and myself. Unfortunately, the evening started off a bit rocky because our reservation seemed to have gotten mixed up, which resulted in us being seated and served about 30 minutes late. However, once our chef, Alejandro, arrived, the entire experience completely turned around. He was engaging, hilarious, and incredibly entertaining from start to finish....

Very crowded this night so the noise level made it hard to talk to people a few seats away. Food was excellent as always but our chef, although a nice guy really didn't put on any kind of show for us other than the beating heart. Whenever going here, we look to have some fun and laughs and he really didn't provide that. Maybe I'm looking for too much because he is supposed to cook the food but was looking for a better experience.
