A perfect local spot that's a little hidden gem...love the sushi! Especially the winter roll (my favorite!)

Great options to choose from, including an all you can eat option and regular menu choices. Our waiter was nice and the food came real fast. Overall it was nice to see the Asian paintings and atmosphere.

Randomly stumbled upon Sushi Saga after our first AYCE sushi option had a ridic wait. I had called and said there was no wait. We arrived and we were seated immediately. They had the usual AYCE sushi restaurant items- various sushi rolls, hand rolls, sashimi, hot appetizers, small plate dishes, and desserts. We placed our order of a few of the hot and cold apps and sushi and sashimi. And gave our completed order forms to the waiter. We loved the variety of the hot apps and omg they were all so good. The seafood medley was my favorite and it was served on a clam shell. Nice presentation. The crab rangoons were amazing with the Thai chili dipping sauce. The sushi was served altogether on a big platter. All were made to order and was so fresh. So delicious! Overall we enjoyed our meal and the food was great. Service was great and the entire staff was super friendly. We will definitely be back again.

Lead off review. 2023. HNY Yelpies. Sushi saga has become my weekly Sushi craving fix. With a vast variety of selection available, my cravings are always satisfied. Service is up to standards. Staff checks up on U periodically for refills or add ons etc. ambiance is your decor usually found in Asian restaurants. The placeDoes get tons of take out orders. They offer both a ala Carte or AYCE option for sushi. Their salmon sashimi, and salmon rolls are the best. They also have a spicy seaweed salad on appetizer which is very good.

We ordered AYCE sushi: tuna tartar, spicy tuna roll, 3 specialty rolls, gyoza, mushroom soup, chicken tempura roll, a few pieces of tuna sushi also. Overall okay sushi, nothing spectacular. A bit concerned cause they use low quality wasabi and pickled ginger as both looked like they had food coloring in them. The tuna was bright pink and I'm used to eating it with a more natural, deeper red color. Gyoza came out soggy sadly, mushroom soup was nice (salty) but a good balance with everything. We had one special roll that we enjoyed but aside from that all of them had way too much rice packed in them. We had hot tea and water but were never offered refills. Food came out quickly but the staff hovered over our table as we were putting our coats on to leave, not a fan of that. The place looks clean otherwise and has two tvs (can't hear them) and no background music playing so you can hear the conversations next to you. Honestly, $33 pp is pretty steep for the quality of the food and experience.(I did appreciate the guava candies on the way out!)

I always get a little nervous coming to sushi as a vegetarian - never sure if there are enough options! This was a go to spot during the college days and their incredible selection can attest to why that is.I don't usually order the all you can eat buffet but they do have a vegetarian meal combo in their menu - it comes with a nice and hot miso soup and 18 pieces of sushi all for less than $12!! I usually choose the mango avocado roll, sweet potato roll (a MUSTTT whether you are vegetarian or not), cucumber roll (so refreshing and crunchy!!) and/or the avocado or peanut avocado roll. You can also ask for the items to match the timing your friends eat the all you can eat meal! I've done this couple times because if you order off the menu, your meal tends to come a loooot faster than the all you can eat orders. To finish off the meal, sometimes I order ice cream here!! Not bad, but nothing super special about it that sticks out. As always, this place has guava candy to cleanse your palette on your way out. It's a wonderful place to eat with friends, even if you don't eat meat!!

One of the best all you can eat sushi spots in Jersey!!! My friends, boyfriend, and I love this place so much. The waitresses are so quick and attentive with providing more menus and refills. And the sushi itself is chefs kiss I recently started eating more sashimi and if you like something that packs a punch, I'd try the eel sashimi or mackerel. If you want something a little more subtle and a safe option, I'd try the tuna or salmon. Some of my favorite rolls are the Spider Rolls and Crunchy Eel Roll! If you have the chance to stop by and try, it's so worth it. Even though I don't live in the area anymore, I've been twice in the past couple months even though I live an hour away. If that isn't a testament to how great this place is, I don't know what is! PS. don't forget to grab the candy on the counter on your way out

We decided to try this place from my friends recommended. All you can eat for lunch Fresh sashimi but the sushi rice was little firm which I don't like it. Disappointed The Peking duck and Crab wonton just horrible! Don't waste your space Seaweed salad and Red beans ice cream is amazing! Order is quick, place is clean. I think I will back for lunch special Sashimi but not for All you can eat...

This was a cute little restaurant. I love me some good sushi rolls and this place satisfied my hunger! My boyfriend got the sushi - yellow tail and salmon, but it was not what he had expected; both presentation and taste wise, so that is something to consider. The miso and Kano salad were good as well.

The food is fine, but my experience here tonight really irritated me and I will NOT be coming back. I came here with my daughter (an infant), my 2 nieces, and my friend. My daughter is 4 months old and is in a car seat. First, they tried to place us at a small table with 4 seats which would leave me with nowhere to put my daughter except on the small table or on the floor in the middle of a walk way where she would be at risk of getting hurt. My friend said it wasn't going to work before I had the chance to say anything and we were moved to a booth. My friend and my nieces sat on the bench seat and I sat on a chair and put my daughter on the other chair. The tall waitress pulled another chair over so my nieces and my friend didn't all have to sit on the bench. This was appreciated; HOWEVER instead of just moving the seat over and leaving it, she proceeded to pick my daughter's seat up and physically move it to the chair she just brought over (waking her up in the process). You shouldn't EVER be touching or moving another person's child ESPECIALLY with Covid and monkey pox being an issue. I was not even going to move my daughter but I, instead, was going to have my niece move to the new chair. Perhaps the waitress thought she was helping by moving my child, but it made me very upset and extremely uncomfortable and as a result I will not be coming back and will not be recommending it to anyone.

All you can eat sushi... take my money. The selection was amazing! It wasn't just limited sushi! So many all you can eat options! The fish was fresh. The rolls were huge. The service was top notch. Really. The service took it to the 5th star. We will be back!!

Really nice staff. Very pleasant and clean atmosphere. Typical selection off the AYCE menu, but all with full flavor. Sauces were not watered down. Kitchen menu selections were tasty! The chicken teriyaki skewers...so good. Sushi and sashimi was fresh. Sushi rolls are gigantic! Overall, will definitely return!

Update: new wait staff has ruined the experience. I've been coming here since they have opened and they had great customer service. They have never charged me for having leftover food since it is only a few pieces 5-8 from a huge order of 6+ rolls. Last time I went, the new waitress was going to charge me $1 for each 2 pieces leftover. I challenged it since I have been going there for years and she gave me a huge attitude. At first I let it slide since she may have had a bad day but then she proceeded to talk about me to the other staff in her language. I am not fluent in mandarin but was able to understand enough to know she was talking about me. Anyways for the first time in my life I have left no tip. I did tip the sushi chefs as the staffing there hasnt changed and the food was still good. It was pretty disappointing since I moved a few states away and was looking forward to coming here when I was visiting my family. Looks like I am never coming here anymore

AVOID this place at all costs!! If I could leave negative stars I would. The tables were filthy, the wait staff is beyond rude, and the food took forever. The fish tasted old and not fresh and I ended up with food poisoning several hours after eating. Absolutely horrible experience, several other top notch sushi places in the area that I would recommend over this one
