The first time I came here I thought the food was good, if not a bit pricey. My most recent visit was for their $10 Pho Wednesdays. Unfortunately it’s not just cheaper because it’s a Wednesday, but because they water down the broth. Disappointing.

I love a good local pho spot, but I am especially in love with their $10 Wednesday deal. I always build my own pho and do the brisket and rare steak. The tendons are either a hit or miss because I don’t like the big hard chunks. I usually drink the broth but today’s broth tasted more salty than usual. Portions are adequately sized, and I often have to get to go containers for my soup and noodles. If you pay in cash, you get an extra 5% off!

My husband and I are huge fans of Vietnamese spring rolls and pho, and we've tried every Vietnamese restaurant here in Edison, NJ. During our visit, we ordered:A1 Crispy Spring Roll for my husband with shrimp and pork, which he loved.A2 Spring Roll for me due to my shrimp allergy, and it was just as delicious as the others.R2 Grilled Lemongrass Pork Chop over rice, featuring tender and flavorful meat.P1 Pho Lua beef noodle soup, which was incredibly tasty with perfectly cooked beef brisket, tendon, tripe, and noodles.D7 Thai Iced Tea for my husband, which unfortunately tasted bland and lacked milkiness.D2 Coconut Ube Coffee for me, which was delightful! My husband even likened it to ice cream and polished it off with gusto.Overall, our dining experience was wonderful. The ambiance made us feel like we were dining in a fancy restaurant, yet the prices were incredibly affordable. We're definitely planning to return to try more dishes from their menu, and we highly recommend that you do too!

Incredibly delicious dinner! My husband and I plan on visiting Vietnam later this year and wanted to give Vietnamese food a try. We looked up restaurants in the area and Lau came up. We came for dinner and had a fantastic meal. Our kind and patient waiter helped us pick a variety of traditional Vietnamese dishes to try. Every dish was so flavorful, fresh and comforting. The atmosphere was very fitting for a cute date night. We will definitely be coming back to try a few more items as well as the coconut and egg coffee.

Ambiance in this restaurant is great! Food is authentic and they serve items not on other Vietnamese restaurant menus like bánh khốt, bố ne, bánh cuốn. Service attentive. Came with a party of 8 and was seated at the back table...but the sun was coming through that side window pretty strong, so our server notices this and moved us to another table towards the front where the sun glare was not so blinding. Very attentive service always checking up and filling our water. Food is authentic and good size portions. I highly recommend eating at Lua for an authentic Vietnamese food dining. They also have weekday special too!

So reliable with almost every dish I’ve had, never disappointed. Kind staff that take good care of you. I was skeptical at first because the place looked so nice, I was afraid they didn’t invest enough attention to the food itself, rest assured the place looks great and the food is amazing.

Only came once, but it's probably my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in NJ now. Nice modern atmosphere and great service. Smaller menu but quite delicious, especially the bone marrow dish. Also love the ability to pay the bill via QR code.

Let's start by saying the place is really nice beautifully decorated. Staff almost acts as of they don't want to be here. We were seated at a table with one set of utensils. I will have to say this is not your typical Vietnamese spot that you might be used to. It's boujee !! Prices are a bit high so check out the menu before you come. Food was decentdidn't really feel it was authentic as some of the hole in wall places I usually go to . But they are in a good spot so I'm sure they will always be busy .

Upscale Vietnamese food at reasonable prices. The broth was full of flavor and the soup was delicious. The most pleasant surprise was the coffee. I did not expect to ever see egg and coffee in the same sentence but they somehow made it work! The pancakes were also great. Full of flavor, vibrant colors and a nice subtle sauce to make it company. The location looks modern and a bit upscale, and well decorated with murals.
