The service is good. The food is very very expensive and not worth for the quality and quantity, I would never go to this place again. We paid 112 dollars for 1 soup, 1 appetizer and 2 curry no bread no drinks and no dessert...it's definitely not worth.
I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for over 40 years (always coming to Moghul when in Edison), but my most recent visit was quite disappointing. I was dining with my son and his family, including two young children who are not tolerant of spice. I clearly requested very mild dishes and even asked the waiter for recommendations that could be prepared with limited spice. Despite this, when the food arrived, both the gravies and the tandoori items were very spicy—far too much for my grandchildren (ages 6 and 4), even though they usually enjoy Indian food. Adding to the surprise, when I asked for a cup of tea at the end of the meal, I was told that tea and coffee are not served on weekends—something I found quite unusual for an Indian restaurant. To their credit, the staff did make an effort at service recovery by bringing out a milder chicken dish, which I appreciated. However, overall, the food was noticeably spicier than in past visits, and the service fell short of the standard I have long associated with this establishment. Considering the restaurant’s relatively high prices, I feel customer preferences and requests should be taken more seriously. Sadly, this experience was not very satisfying, and I will likely be exploring other dining options in the future.
The worst restaurant ever. Food did not taste good and the price was high. They added 20% gratuity for bringing us 4 glasses of soda. Do not dine at this restaurant.
Pretty substandard. Cold food…..not the best tasting at all. Had to return the Biryani. Absolutely tasteless. Coming from Canada, it had no comparison to our fine dining restaurants there.
Only go if you are ready to give 20% gratuity(already included) of your bill. Lime juice is extra cash.

The food was decent but we did not like the fact that they included a 20% gratuity on the bill without even asking. We were a small group of < 6 people. What's the point of calling it a gratuity when you are forcing it down customers? Just call it a service charge, and be upfront about it. We'll probably not come here again with the deceptive pricing.
Host was a sloppy mess, lacked customer service skills, waiters were not friendly, 20% gratuity automatically charged and a 3% card usage fee. The cardamom and pineapple drink and ras malai were disgusting. Tips are earned and not guaranteed. I wouldn't return.

20% gratuity included for one person at a buffet? I received no service, why am I forced to pay gratuity? On top of that, they also charge a fee to use credit card. The naan was cold, rubbery, and tasteless. Most meat based items were empty at 1pm when you open at 12 and close at 3. The water had "things" floating in it and tasted like there were "things" in it. Not to mention that when I asked for a refill of the caraf, it took over 5 minutes to get it back. The dining area was unclean, I can't imagine the kitchen. Sorry, Moghul you lost a long time customer this time.

The buffet price is $22 per person and they charged us 20% gratuity for 2 people. There was no service except for bringing us naan. Food was average. 2 people $60, wouldn’t recommend this place. I wish we looked for other places. Would not recommend at all.

Vegetarian options: Very expensive and they charge 20 percent gratuity for 2 people e
ven for buffet which seems strange. Would not recommend for vegetarians as 36 dollars per person looks high for vegetarians for one buffet. There are other vegetarian places for less expenses and more variety.

Service was horrible - did not even let people order tea because it was busy. Charges automatically 20% tip while doing nothing. Didn’t ask to refill drinks. Strongly avoid coming to restaurant.
