The Inn on St. Louis is a historical inn turned restaurant, a hidden gem and best-kept secret tucked away in a residential neighborhood in Egg Harbor City. The atmosphere provides a fantastic neighborhood bar vibe, feeling cozy, cute, and full of charm like walking into a friend's house. The decor is awesome, featuring salvaged wood from the old Atlantic City High School, with an old-school bar centerpiece.
The food is unbelievably good, setting a new high bar in excellent bar food with large, flavorful servings. Standout items include the chicken wings, described as huge with great sauces like Thai chili and BBQ. The French onion soup is delicious, flavorful without being overly salty. Other praised dishes are the mozzarella sticks, cheesesteak, chicken cheesesteak, Butternut soup, flatbread pizza, and the Double Smash Burger with Disco frys. For drinks, the smoked old fashioned and the caramel apple drink are highlights.
The staff is friendly, professional, and welcoming, providing excellent service. The venue is decorated nicely and can get packed with all ages. There is limited parking behind the building and residential street parking available. They offer a military discount, free wifi, outside seasonal seating, and a children's menu. It is a great find and a treat, with many guests planning to return.
