A friend ordered a whole mushroom cheese steak for us to have for lunch. DELICIOUS! Plenty of steak, cheese and mushrooms and very tasty. It was our first sub from there but it won't be the last!

Local sub shop. Consistency is their strength. The customizability of sandwiches is excellent. What is lacking in atmosphere is more than made up by the amount of food for the price.

Website said open till 8 pm. Always have problems getting through on phone. Drove 30 minutes while someone kept calling, got Verizon message lines busy. Showed up at 540 and sign on door says closing at 6 for Halloween. Walk in and the woman dressed as witch says out of bread.. Are you kidding me? When I asked why they couldn't answer the phone or put it on their website she said it's Halloween and we are busy. No apology, kinda rude. Won't be back. Wasted my time and gas.

Got a Steak and Cheese there. Was asked when ordering if I wanted a "half or a whole". Unknowingly, I ordered a whole thinking in terms of Subway and other popular chain sub shops.
A "whole" sub at Pete's is twice as much as other chain sub shops - a full 24" sub that has meat piled on. It took me 3 suppers to finish it off.
Well worth the visit and I'd be back if even remotely close to their location.

Disappointed that I was told where to put my plate.. which was at the front counter .. after I bagged half to go.. when I was all set to tip her. Why couldn't she just take it. Food was good.. i will try it again.. I will give the restaurant a 5 star
Subs are okay but service could be much better. The person making the subs had an attitude because I asked for two half hoagies instead of one whole. Prices are same as everywhere around here.

Dine In lunch before 12pm on a Saturday and the place was going brisk business already! Ham and Cheese hoagie (I’m from PA please don’t hurt me) was sooooo good! Only reason for the 4 stars is because it’s was packed to the point of the roll splitting which made it very hard to eat towards the end. Can definitely see that being an issue if you’re trying take it to go! Will definitely be back!

I ordered a cheese steak and chicken finger platter. The cheese steak had no flavor and was dry. The chicken fingers were over cooked and hard. Very disappointing.

Been living at the Jersey Shore for over 25 years after growing up in Philadelphia. By far, with no comparison, Pete’s is the best. Fresh like they just killed the cow out back. The taste jumps off the plate. Never had a bad one.. Excellent price for the quality of their sub. The are as thick as a phone book, for those of us who remember. They don’t skimp on anything. Pictures are half a tuna and whole Italian special.
