They have damaged the food a lot, the flavor is no longer the same and the potatoes the last few times have not been fresh. Once I ordered a picadinho and I got four long hairs in the food. It's a shame before it was super good and to top it all off, now the deliveries take two hours. Apart from the fact that it's not fresh, the food arrives cold and that doesn't help the flavor much.

I order led at 12 and its 2:30 it takes 2 hours and 30 mins for a combo it’s so stupid and it still hasn’t came and the fries aren’t even fresh it’s old and soggy

I love the food, but delivery always takes 2 hours at least, food always shows up cold… if you guys are that busy please hire more delivery drivers.. i shouldn’t be paying $20 a plate and getting food cold

Hi , I’ve been coming to this place for the last 20 years, so I know about how fresh the food is here. Today I went there on a Friday for lunch at 11:30am which should be the freshest chicken of the day . The chicken and fries tasted fresh but they gave me cold rice . It has to be yesterday rice because there’s no way rice would be cold when the the takeout just opened. I know this from experience from coming here for many years . Since they changed owners it’s been nothing but down hill so I am done ever coming back
I have dined at Alvarve Restaurant several times, and while my previous experiences have been satisfactory, my visit today will be my last. Unfortunately, I encountered significant issues with my meal that left me quite disappointed.
I ordered the Chicken Marsala, expecting a flavorful dish, but what I received was far from that. The Marsala sauce tasted more like basic brown gravy with mushrooms, reminiscent of a home-cooked meal, but lacking the depth and richness I anticipated. It was quite unappetizing.
Additionally, I ordered a lobster tail to replace the original meal, which was even more disappointing. The lobster was overcooked and rubbery, making it not edible. To top it off, the salad accompanying my meal was excessively salty, which made it hard to enjoy.
I understand that mistakes can happen in the kitchen, and I did send my food back in hopes of a better experience. However, I was met with a meal that only reinforced my decision to not return. It’s unfortunate, as I had hoped for a better dining experience at Alvarve.
Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my recent experience, and I will be seeking other dining options in the future.
The manager Joe said so what this is the food we have here. No apologies at all. He said I was hard to please.

I honestly can’t stop thinking about the food here! The food was absolutely delicious, with flavors that really stood out and tasted so fresh. You can tell they put a lot of care into each meal they make. It was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time and I’m already planning my next visit. I highly recommend this place!
