As an investor in restaurants I'm very critical when visiting any restaurant and not often impressed even with well known critically acclaimed restaurants. It's very rare when a place has truly incredible food with every appetizer and entree as well as first class VIP vibes for service. You could literally taste the passion and care put into every plate with beautifully prepared flavorful abundant meals. In fact, it was the first time in almost a decade I brought home leftovers as the meal was delicious and easily sufficient for two people. Our entire table raved about their meals and the attentive but not obtrusive service was always there to refill our wine and assist without any of us having to look up for service. The food alone would have made for a great night but what truly made it memorable besides the great waitstaff was the manager, Eli. When was the last time a manager, GM or owner greated you at your table to share a polite, interesting and passionate conversation about the food and why they love sharing this experience with their valued customers? He made our entire table feel like VIPs and made perfect recommendations for wine and dessert. It felt more like we were in someone's home as we were there for close to 3-1/2 hours talking, eating, drinking and laughing. The ambiance is warm and unpretentious and the memories of a great experience will certainly bring us back again.”

“Some friends and I went to the Jets game last night 9/19/24 and were staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Elizabeth after. Knowing Leo’s closes at midnight I ordered online soon as we left the game around 11:20 thinking the pizza would be waiting for us when we got back to the hotel.
Got there and no pizza. I waited out front for a while then gave up around 12:20, not happy because I was charged. Nobody answering the phone either because they were closed.
I get a call at like 12:45am from this guy at Leo’s saying the original driver got into a fender bender which explained the no-show, and that he personally remade my order and delivered it himself and was in the lobby.
I wish I had gotten his name but that is some incredible service. Basically working til 1am to deliver an order after your coworker gets in a car accident.
Pizza was great too by the way. We were getting tired by then but it’s a sin to waste good pizza! If I could give these guys 6 stars I would, and the guy who came thru clutch for us last night is a legend.”

When we went there to have dinner, I had the Jalea and Mariscos (fish), and I was blown away. The Jalea itself was my favorite; fresh fish and fresh ingredients got me “hooked.” Since then, we had been back there a few more times for dinner, and the dining experience is still excellent. The place is cozy, clean, and the staff is very friendly. I look forward to returning again soon. You could literally taste the passion and care put into every plate with beautifully prepared flavorful abundant meals. In fact, it was the first time in almost a decade I brought home leftovers as the meal was delicious and easily sufficient for two people. Our entire table raved about their meals and the attentive but not obtrusive service was always there to refill our wine and assist without any of us having to look up for service. The food alone would have made for a great night but what truly made it memorable besides the great waitstaff was the manager, Eli. When was the last time a manager, GM or owner greated you at your table to share a polite, interesting and passionate conversation about the food and why they love sharing this experience with their valued customers? He made our entire table feel like VIPs and made perfect recommendations for wine and dessert. It felt more like we were in someone's home as we were there for close to 3-1/2 hours talking, eating, drinking and laughing. The ambiance is warm and unpretentious and the memories of a great experience will certainly bring us back again.”

Our server, Daniel (AM shift), truly made our visit special. He was not only extremely personable but also attentive to our needs, ensuring that our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable.
Now, onto the food! We indulged in their famous pancakes (my husband had the Protein pancakes), which were fluffy and bursting with flavor. The syrup selection was impressive, and I couldn't resist trying a few different ones! I also ordered the classic breakfast combo, which included perfectly cooked eggs, crispy turkey bacon, and golden hash browns. Each bite was delicious, and it was evident that everything was prepared with care.
Overall, my breakfast at IHOP was a fantastic start to the day, thanks to Daniel's exceptional service and the delectable food. I highly recommend visiting this location for a satisfying meal and a friendly atmosphere!
