What is all the hype about this place? Do people have low standards or what? I was really in the mood for some great Portuguese food. I traveled over an hour only to be sadly disappointed. The kale soup was a dead white with stringy kale in it. I had the pork chops in garlic sauce, which was tough and the "garlic sauce" was nothing more than brown gravy with a few pieces of sliced garlic in it. I ordered creme brulee for dessert. Big mistake. The caramelized shell was soft, not crispy and it had a strange gumminess about it. The custard tasted like those awful vanilla dessert cups on the store shelves. I sent it back. What a disappointment. On the way home, I stopped at Taco Belll and enjoyed my taco. It's a sad day when Taco Bell tastes better than a Portuguese restaurant.

Authentic Portuguese cuisine!Daily specials available.Love the white sangria. My husband enjoys the grilled octopus. The shrimp and churico appetizer was so tasty and great for dipping the Portuguese rolls in the sauce. When you order an entree- you have choice of salad or soup.Dessert tray is presented after your meal.Loved the Serradura ~ Portuguese Sawdust Pudding!Expresso and cappuccino are great.Servers attentive and friendly.Typically just walk in and are immediately seated.Haven’t made reservations.Parking on site.

I had the chicken in garlic sauce. It was overcooked and dry. My friend has t-bone steak. It was flavor less, no seasonings. Salad had little or no dressing on it.

An absolute must in Elizabeth. The food is an absolute bullseye in European-Portuguese cuisine. The service is absolutely top-notch; to the point where I've even gotten the chef walk to my table, ask about the food, and strike in a nice conversation. I'm an absolute fan of the shrimp in garlic sauce and the fresh mozzarella with roasted peppers and prosciutto. 10/10, you HAVE to visit.
