I called to quote the value of the special menu of the day ($15) and to reserve two dishes while I arrived at the place, I had a problem and I called back asking them to please postpone the order; The person who answered me the second time left me talking to myself without even telling me that he would let me off the hold. I arrive at the restaurant and the table was already set with the food served and obviously cold, the waitress comes to suggest if I want to heat the food when the ideal would be for the food to be served on the table when you are sitting in your place because 1. the Food can be exposed to insects and atmospheres that contaminate it, 2. it gets cold, 3. as a customer I choose where to be located. In the end I decide to just reheat the soup; I finish eating and since I don't see the server and I have to leave, I go to the cashier to make the payment without her giving me the bill or asking me what payment method I am going to use. I then inform you that we will pay by separate accounts and that you please charge me for the simple dish that was the one I ordered, I give you my phone number for payment. When I review the money debit notification, it charges me $19.32 and I ask the reason, he answers that it is because the system charges an additional fee for card payment. They thought about giving me a refund but I asked them not to.It turns out that the girl charged the bill wrong (my companion's bill) and when I decide to have the previous one pay my bill and we exchange the bill between us because it is easier for the restaurant, I realize that in addition to charging me the cost from the card, she charges for paying with ApplePay.Several things to highlight about the service, not to mention that it is terrible when thinking that all the customers who come to the restaurant are everyday customers and treating us with a trust that we do not have.

I am normally not too picky when it comes to my hometown food, but food here was not very tasty, it was a bit expensive, and service was not very friendly.

Having Colombian roots, every now and then, I get the cravings for our food. La Calenita always delivers. Located on Pembroke road before the railroad, it has the Colombian flag(yellow, blue and red) flying high. The staff is the nicest and friendliest, so warm, you feel you are dealing with family. As you come in, you find all the baked goods and I often pick up freshly baked pandebonos to complement breakfast at home. They also have Colombian desserts and other goodies like rice pudding, postre de natas, salpicon empanadas and snacks to take out.
