Tequila Bistro Hosted One Incredible Night for Team Ed Rodriguez
We recently held a meet-and-greet for Assembly candidate Ed Rodriguez at Tequila Bistro in Elizabeth—and let’s just say, Ed raved about the food beforehand, and he wasn’t wrong.
From the moment we stepped into the warm, inviting space—with its glowing string lights, rich Spanish tiles, and that cozy outdoor patio—it was clear this was more than just a restaurant. It was an experience.
The crowd came for conversation, but the Mediterranean and Spanish flavors stole the show. From the perfectly grilled seafood to the paella that had people going back for seconds (and thirds), every bite was unforgettable. The crab-stuffed salmon? Game-changer.
And then there’s the bar—a destination in itself. Sophisticated, generous, and buzzing with good energy. The sangria flowed, the handcrafted cocktails were on point, and the vibes matched the moment.
The staff made us feel like family. They handled a busy room full of guests with warmth, precision, and genuine hospitality.

Was not happy with food seem like food was per package i ordered chicken breast with out prosciutto they told me they couldn’t do that cause it per package so i went with salmon and it taste nasty like no season on it

Overpriced prices, bad service. They know that the place is going to be full for an important date and the owner only puts 4 employees to work, they have asked for a lot of quality. Too expensive for the place where it is located. Slow service both in the kitchen and in the drinks. They brought me the starter before the drinks, the sideboard arrived and we still didn't have the drinks. I had to ask for bottles of water to wash down the bread because the drinks didn't arrive, since they would bring them faster. My raw meat with skin on it. Unfortunately, nothing to do with what it was before. The drinks were awful.

What a great place to enjoy with your mate. We started off with Sangria and had such a delicious taste. Salad ans The bread just made out with an olive tomato/onion on the side just to made some bruschetta yourself. Crab cake delicious and definitely dinner was perfect. Must come back here again.
