Food is quite delicious and tastes fresh. The beef empanadas (if you eat beef) as an appetizer are a must. Red and white sangrias are a great pick along with their wine selection. The restaurant has different seating areas but the banquet hall area is the most appealing. Most of time, the service is okay. It can get very crowded and busy which causes the service to go down but the food makes up for it.

Awesome food service and sangria! Love love this place! There's plenty of food choices here. Def can't go wrong!

What a disappointment! We had high hopes coming to Valenca for dinner, but it fell short in every way. The atmosphere was a noisy, and the food was just not good at all. The garlic shrimp sauce was watery and not very good, the steak was overcooked, and all of our other ordered items were just ok I guess. The service could have been better also. Overall, I didn't like anything about this place, and won't be coming back here again.

Noted for their steak on a stone. That a review on its own. Superior ! I've been a customer since day one and ultimately watched it grow to what it is today. The menu is vast and most anyone can be pleased with the selection of epicurean delights. The interior is very well designed and has old world flavor. Be patient then sit back and enjoy. Don't forget about the delicious dessert menu. Enjoy!

Food is always great! Fresh savory and grilled to perfection.Parking: Not a lot of parking, it’s in a residential neighborhood. You have to valet park if no parking on the street. parking is hard so I always order to pick up and double park.

I loved this place. They serve family dish style food. 2 people can eat from 1 dish. They are definitely not cheap with the portions. The servers are also top notch. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone in the area. They asl have Valet Parking across from it. You won't be disappointed.

Disappointing in every way. We were so looking forward to our first dinner at Valenca. The reviews were great. First of all it was so incredibly noisy you couldn't have a conversation and then the food came. I can honestly say there was not one thing we ordered that I thought was well prepared, from the shrimp in garlic sauce to the porterhouse steak and grilled octopus, everything was sub par. The service was very good but we will not be returning.

Valenca is a nice spot to try out in the area. My family and I came here for my mother's birthday. There's valet parking across the street, which makes it super easy. The restaurant itself is huge. I believe there's a bar area on the corner and the restaurant itself is off to the side. We were seated right away on a busy Sunday night. Service was absolutely fantastic, and I have a very intimidating Portuguese family to say the least. Servers here definitely earn their money with the crowds we saw. All the food coming out of the kitchen looked really great. We decided to start with the chorizo and shrimp appetizer, which was delicious. We also got a huge seafood platter to share. Everything was fresh and tasty, the shrimp, lobster, scallops and calamari were excellent. All the sauces were very seasoned well too. No complaints anywhere. We got a small dessert just to celebrate my mom's birthday. I don't think any of the desserts are made in house so you might be better off going to a little bakery somewhere afterwards, but we made do just for the occasion. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth checking out.

Great meal. Rib eye and stuffed shrimp were great. A few tables over were some wanna be gambino boys that dropped the f bomb all meal. Waiter John seemed hesitant to say something. Overall a very nice place and I would come back.

Very impressed. Unique restaurant as it has two rstaurants in one. One side I had visited in the past 2 years and I loved the food but ambiance was missing and you were close to patrons at the bar. The other side checked all the boxes. Ambiance, decor, and service - warm bread unfrozen butter with cloth napkins. More importantly, I think ,was the quality and quantity of food - fantastic. The price was fantastic also. For three people with two beers, one glass of wine and one soda with appies and entrees, and one dessert was $112. Salads are free, and you can order more salads - still free.Atmosphere was convivial. Will be going again.WeVegetarian options: One vegetarian with us loved the eggplant, and they accommodated her request for more veggies and skipped the usual pasta. Great service and again great food. Don't think you can go wrong here. 665 Monroe Ave., Elizabeth N. J.

Attentive staff and excellent food. Our large party was treated wonderfully and everything was top notch. The octopus appetizer was tender and well seasoned. My entré of seafood Portuguese style was fantastic, the seafood cooked perfectly and the rice was just the right consistency. All around terrific meal.
