We called for reservations and no one answers the phone. then we went to see what is going on and they said you need to call for reservations for dinner . The place was empty. I don't think they are serving the public anymore. Just a small few who get a response.

Fantastic food served in a friendly atmosphere (the servers Laura and William made us feel so at home and created a relaxed and personable atmosphere) all with the charm of the Inn founded in 1706. Reservations needed!

Wanted to share a really sad experience I had with the owner. My mother-in-law recently fell and broke her hip. She is unable to drive and will be all alone for Christmas. For decades she and her late husband were loyal customers of Centerton Inn. Sadly, I do not live near by. I spoke with the owner and asked for a Christmas Miracle, if there was any way to deliver her favorite meal to her on Christmas Eve. I was willing to pay any price and didnt care what time. She also lives 5 minutes away. I was told absolutely not. He was incredibly rude and then hung up on me. I will never give this restaurant my business again, and I encourage you to do the same. Owners like this do not deserve to be supported.

It was rough. Owner was totally annoyed because we arrived 10 minutes early. Food was ok but service was not great. Waitress was overwhelmed & never smiled once...To make things worse, they seated 8 obnoxious people next to us who were just downright rude...Couldn't enjoy a minute...totally ruined our Anniversary...Worst 30th wedding Anniversary Dinner Ever!! Will never return...

I’ve been coming here since I was a child, and I’ve loved it so much that I make a two hour round trip once or twice a year to eat here now as an adult in my 30s. It’s gone seriously downhill over the years. The food is decent (used to be amazing) but incredibly overpriced for what you get. (Their shrimp cocktail is four medium sized shrimp and half-frozen cocktail sauce for $19…I mean come on!) I have no issue paying a lot for a good meal, but this is absolutely not worth the cost anymore. I have countless wonderful memories here but sadly I think it’s no longer worth the trip.

Went to the Centerton Inn last night in Elmer for my birthday, it was great! There were 5 of us. We ordered the following: Bangin' Shrimp- Flash Fried and Tossed in a Sweet Chili Mayo; Teriyaki Beef Tips- On a Bed of Crispy Noodles for apps. For mains we had Steak Fromage- Grilled NY Strip Topped with a Blue Cheese; Centerton Potato (twice stuffed); a special pepper steak with mash potatoes; and Warm Chocolate Walnut Bread Pudding. Loved the meat and bean soup! It was full of meat, I really got full on that alone. Everything was amazing! Can't wait to go back!

Last time we were there the tables were dusty and the fixtures that were by the table. Don't remember what we ate, just the dust.

The quality of the food is amazing especially the seasonal specials. We typically sit at the bar and enjoy conversations with great people. Sean is one of the county's best bartenders!Parking: Parking flanks two sides of the building which is situated on the corner, access is from both streets.Wheelchair accessibility: This is a historical building and I don't believe it is wheelchair accessible.

Just tried to eat dinner at the Centerton Inn and were turned away. Sign on the door said reservation only or you have to sit at the bar. The dining room was EMPTY. Sad they don't want our money. You go to places like Franklinville Inn or Maplewood and they are packed not an empty seat in the building! Just never heard of an empty restaurant turning away customers.

Superb dinner. 3 in our party and 2 of us had broiled seafood combination and third had chicken carbonara. The seafood was so delicious big portions and just wonderful fresh moist cooked perfectly.Home made rolls and twice baked potatoe were extra bonus. Chicken soup ? was perfect. Our dining partner commented it was the best chicken carbonara and pasta she ever had. 5 stars service food and ambience. Our server was very attentive friendly didn’t rush us.Nice quiet relaxing atmosphere was just what we wanted. We prefer to be seated away from other tables for privacy and quiet conversation.Overall, ye olde centerton inn came through for us!! We will be back again. ?⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wow! We have been spoiled by the hospitality of this true Southern New Jersey historic gem. The staff is friendly, interesting and intelligent. The other patrons were warm, engaging and friendly. Our house peanuts were above and beyond what I was expecting. We shared the beef tips appetizer and, OMG, baba rhum , house made, for desert. We will be back soon.

Food was delicious, can be pricey but nice cozy old Inn. Not many customers, no wait, this Sunday, maybe everyone is at the beach.
