Disappointed and Won’t Be Returning I used to really enjoy this place, but the quality has gone downhill. I ordered the chicken patacones, and they were noticeably smaller than before—yet the price has gone up. They also barely had any sauce, which used to be one of the best parts.
I also ordered two chicken empanadas. One of them was spoiled and had a terrible, funky taste. I’ve had issues with their empanadas in the past, but I gave them another chance hoping things had improved. Sadly, it seems like they’re letting them sit too long or reheating old ones.
Between the declining quality and rising prices, I won’t be coming back. It’s just not worth it anymore.

I was dealt a few bad times...maybe they were having bad days or so i thought. I hoped thIngs would go back to normal after a few months. Big mistake!
This afternoon: my papaya had crystals from sugar, not the sweetened condensed milk I asked and paid extra (1.75) for. Nasty taste! I had to toss it. It was too late to go back during lunch hour as I left without tasting it.
Shame on them. Lost a good paying customer.

I bought two chicken sandwich on 6/30/25 both sandwich were very better they don’t taste good that she’s was very disgusting. I barely could see the chicken. I took pictures my first time even there and it will be my last also. I couldn’t find places to post pictures

If I could give it 0 stars I would , worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant , ordering was difficult , they were gonna charge me an extra order , they didn’t have the sides of my order , then the order took 35 minutes to come out and food was horrible and tostones brunt.
Cold tortillas , very greasy food , no sour cream for quesadillas. And plate was broken.
And expensive for nasty food

No one speaks English! The customer service was very poor. The food quality was poor. I wont go back a waste of money!!
I write this review with the hope that the quality of the food might improve. These are my thoughts on the 5 items I tried:
1) Waao Burger - 10/10 - Probably one of the best burgers I've been able to find (worth going just for this burger). Very good sauces, seasoning, and the topings complimented each other wonderfully
2) Hawaiian Hot Dog - 2/10 - It was all very dry (bun and hotdog) making the texture very unpleasant (cardboard-esque). The sauces had good flavor, but somehow they made the hotdog feel even drier.
3) Cuban Sandwich - 2/10 - This was not a cuban sandwich. The normal Cuban sandwich flavors/topings were either not present or were used in such small amounts that they were not noticeable (no pickles in the sandwich and did not taste the dijon mustard or cheese). Bread and pork were very dry as well.
4) Beef empanada - 1/10 - Good flavored meat, but the dough was extremely thick. This made it so that the inner layer of the dough was not thoroughly cooked (aka, the center of the flour was still raw).
5) Steak arepa - 3/10 - The flavor of the meat was om, but it was extremely greasy (dripping oil). For the more grease-sensitive/GI-sensitive individuals, this is a 1/10.
You cannot go wrong with the Waao burger, but any other items in the menu might leave you really dissapointed.

Horrible customer service, I placed an order online and paid online. My husband went to pick up and they charged him again for the order. When I called Nelson advised me he will leave my name on a piece of paper for my refund when I went back I called the next day was on the phone for over 25 mins as he didn’t leave the note. They kept putting me on hold. I used to love when this used to be Banana King not sure if only the name change or the owner as well but customer service is no good.
