As an out-of-towner just passing through, I wanted to try some local sushi and stumbled upon Daruma. I honestly didn't know what to expect, but from the moment I walked in, I was amazed—everything about this place, from the atmosphere to the final bite, was incredible. The dining experience starts with the cool atmosphere, particularly the in-floor seating. It's a neat design where it looks like you're sitting on the floor around a low table, but it's actually a proper table with space beneath, making it comfortable and giving a traditional Japanese feel. The quality of the food was uniformly fresh, incredibly well seasoned, and the flavors were perfectly coordinated across the board. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared. The Miso Sea Bass was a definite standout—it was nothing short of amazing, perfectly flaky, and tasted impeccably fresh. The sushi and sashimi did not disappoint either; they were cut into big, generous pieces that highlighted the freshness of the fish. I also ordered the Toro Tartare, which was expertly seasoned with a beautiful hint of yuzu, adding a bright, citrusy complexity that cut through the richness of the fatty tuna. Overall, I can't recommend Daruma enough. The entire experience was superb, capped off by very good and attentive service. If you’re in the area and craving high-quality Japanese cuisine, stop here.

Sashimi was ok. Not very artistically plated. The salad is very chunky. Fish can always be thinner sliced for me. BYOB is a plus. Salad had great dressing but big chunks of iceberg lettuce made it hard to eat.

It was pretty good, me and my family went their a couple time and the Atmosphere is nice. Usually busy place, only once was pretty empty . I tasted the udon and it had a little too much salt and somethinv that tasted like carrot. Do not order it.

Tea cups smelled bad.My friends and I ordered about 9 appetizers and 2 main courses. One worst than the other. Sorry, i dont like to complain, but reading the good reviews about this place i decided to try it.I will definitely not go back
Enjoyed my experience and the sushi. I go with the nigiri pieces that I like, a few of my favorite rolls and always look for spicy scallops hand roll. If you're in the area, this is the place to visit.

The food is remarkable and we've ordered it at least a dozen times. Definitely one of the best sushi restaurants in the area. However, their service is weak. Like really weak. Daruma should probably be take out only or reservation only. A couple walked in and tried to get seated, there were tons of open seats and the manager told them that they're short staffed and not seating anyone else. I once tried to dine here as well, we were seated but the server was nowhere to be found. Ended up walking out and going to another restaurant. Hope they get their staffing figured out.
