“This place has been around for as long as I can remember. I vaguely remember them being in a different location though.....on the corner adjacent to them.....where CVS is now (they expanded that space. The place is small with no tables. There's just a couple of stools by the window. We always order delivery though. Family run by husband, wife and son. They are all very nice and delivery is always within 30 minutes. I've tried a bunch of things from there. Egg sandwiches, cold cut sandwiches, BLTs, burgers, pasta salad, fries etc. I haven't disliked anything. Their fries are a must get! Not sure why they're so good, but they are. As for the pricing, everything is under $10 which is great! Definitely check them out!”

“Thaiway is an authentic Thai restaurant in Englewood, NJ, offering a variety of traditional Thai dishes. The restaurant was started by Vichaya (Vic), who was born and raised in Bangkok and grew up learning family recipes passed down from his grandmother to his mother and then to him.

We tried the Chive Dumplings, Thai Fish Cakes, Pineapple Fried Rice, Larb Duck, Crab Curry, and Pad Kee Mao. The menu offers a good variety of Thai dishes, including several options beyond the typical Thai restaurant staples.

Thaiway also offers catering and meals for groups and parties. The restaurant is BYOB, which is a nice option for dining with a group.

Overall, a good option for authentic Thai cuisine in the Englewood area.”

“I had a fabulous experience at Sofia’s.

The sofia salad was superb and the Lobster Vodka Rigatoni, was the best meal I’ve had this year.

The octopus unfortunately was severely overcooked, it was truly inedible, but the rest of the food more than made up for it.

“This restaurant was an amazing choice for a birthday celebration!!!! The team accommodated my large party so well with a prix-fixe menu. Someone in my group is vegan and couldn’t eat what the menu offered, and they accommodated her to eat what she was comfortable with outside of the prix-fixe menu! The food was also delicious! Birthday celebration was so fun too! Food, drinks, music, and vibe was exactly what we wanted. Highly recommend for large parties!!”

“This was my first time at a Mexican-Japanese restaurant, and I have to say, it was definitely something different and fun!

We really enjoyed everything we ordered, especially the yakitori, nachos, and elote. The only exception was one of the daily specials, the octopus. It felt a little too dry and, honestly, just average compared to the rest of the food.

That said, the service was great and the drinks were on point! Overall, we had a really good experience and I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.”

Their Detroit-style pizza is seriously impressive—the crust has that perfect combination of a crispy, cheesy edge with a light and airy interior. It’s not the heavy, overly greasy square pizza you might expect.

I also love that they put a creative spin on their menu while still keeping the classics strong. From the traditional pepperoni to more adventurous combinations, there’s a lot here for both the classic pizza lover and someone who wants to try something different. I was in a party of 4, and we ordered a dinner course menu. Every plate was delicious, and we were very full when we left.

The chef/owner is the sole cook, so if she is booked for private events, the restaurant closes for the day. To avoid disappointment, CALL AHEAD to check if the restaurant is open. It may feel like a hassle, but I enjoyed my meal enough to feel that the call is worth it.”

It reminds me of those individual food dining cubbies/booths for people who like minimal contact/interactions during dining that I've tried in Japan before. Don’t get me started , i had the penne , the cheese and the garlic knots ! Fabulous , the garlic knots were light and not heavy , the cheese was the right amount . . nothing crazy and the penne ?! Honestly , one of the best penne pizza slices i’ve ever had ! Will definitely come again . Slices are $4.50 & penne was $6.00 but it was totally worth it”

All the entrees (from a steam table) come with rice, beans, salad (including potato or macaroni salad) and homemade tortillas. Most servers seem to only speak Spanish, but one can certainly get by with English and a smile.”
