“After moving to Bergen County I was on a mission to find the best Jamaican food spot. I’m from Queens, NY and I miss my South Ozone Park / West NY food.
I go to a gym nearby and just randomly found this spot and thank goodness I did.
The food is really good, everything is well balanced in terms of flavor and the hospitality is great.
We’ve all seen that “we don have dat” video and this is the opposite. If he doesn’t have it, give him a minute to work his magic. Your patience will be rewarded.
If you like good seasoned food, just give it a try, you won’t be disappointed. I know I wasn’t. I’ll be coming here every time I crave oxtails and fried chicken.“

“We recently celebrated our baby shower at Sofia’s in Englewood, and we couldn’t be happier! Everything was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the entire staff was so friendly, attentive, and helpful. They truly went above and beyond to make our special day unforgettable. “My son and I had a nearby doctor appointment and put "breakfast near me" in the Google search... this delightful café came up... we took a chance and found it not only to be quality and sophisticated food, but a delightful ambience, friendly staff, visually pleasing food, baked goods and decor! even the bathroom was sweet! this is a new staple in my repertoire of breakfast/brunch and coffee spots. I expect to be a regular!“
