“Superior in every way: impeccable food, gracious and knowledgeable servers, warm and inviting atmosphere. The simple things stood out: the bread, olive oil, original and authentic flavors. Black truffles shaved over delicate ravioli. Veal chop with sautéed peppers and onion. Swoon worthy grilled swordfish. Delicate Dover Sole presented before plating. Meltingly tender meatballs. And those were just a few of the specials. Next time, I'll try the house menu options.“

“Real old-fashioned mamas&papa's cute Italian restaurant with home-like taste and grandma's size of meals. Very laid-back and warm atmosphere. Service is friendly and helpful. They make you feel welcomed and appreciated. I wish I were in Englewood more often so I could visit this restaurant again and again. The menu is big. Cappuccino and desserts are yummy. They serve vine by glass only. You are welcome to bring your own bottle. There are a couple of liquor stores on the same block. It is better to bring cash to pay because all restaurants in NY and NJ charge credit card fees.“

It was either the owner or restaurant manager that reached out to me and immediately offered solution to the tips situation that I described below. I’m very thankful That they reached out and resolved the issue.

Not what it used to be. I’ve been going to Aumm Aumm since they opened the first location in Gutenberg and I have always said the englewood location is just not the same. I have been here a few times and while it’s a very pretty place, the food is just inever as good as Guttenburg and even Guttenberg has been hit or miss over the years. I went last night with my family, not only was the service awful, they already included the tip for a party of five. Our very rude waiter, never even bothered to tell us that the tip was included. My husband paid the check. I only asked him the total and thought the amount seemed kind of high for what we ate. when I looked at the check when I got home, I realized the tip had already been included. So the very rude waiter thinks he is deserving of a 40% tip Never bothering to tell us it was included and he walked away with 84.00 tip on a 200.00 check? In general, the food was not great and definitely not as good as it used to be. It’s such a shame because this truly was one of the more authentic Italian places .“
