The food was fresh and delicious. My daughter who is very picky loved the Chicken Tikka Masala.
The owner Rumi is very nice and told us the history and all about himself.

“So I just had iftaar with their tikka paratha roll that I had got last Sunday evening. It just tasted so good even though I ate it cold straight from the fridge. 😊 It didn't taste as good when I had ordered it on site. Then, without me even asking for anything, they remade it and gave it to me to take it home with me even though I had told them I was full. 😊😊 The largest portions I have ever seen anywhere, good food, clean, best interior and decor, excellent service. I have yet to see a BETTER or even equally nice place in NYC. 🤍 Jo baat hay. Food makes/breaks the mood.“

“The mint tea hit the spot and the chicken pastilla was also very solid. The highlight for us was the jawhara which was so light and crispy, with a great flavor of pudding. For the pastilla the portion was a bit small but fine for the price. However my personal preference would be to have egg inside (I don't think they use egg in theirs). Still, very pleasant food and service and I would definitely come back.“

“The sliders are decent and large with a good varying amount of spice levels suited for anyone to enjoy. The hot mozz on the other hand, which is pretty viral, was a let down. It tastes really heavily like one of the red peppers, cayenne or paprika, and seems to just be known for a cheese pull.“

“First time trying both the Chicken & Beef Doner Boxes.I was pleasantly surprised how GOOD everything was! The flavourful meats with fresh veggies and feta, with or without sauces, all combined with the unique bread is a great new dinning experience unlike anything else. I highly recommend giving this a try ! We will definitely be return customers ! The ladies were quite helpful and informative about the food and it's history as well as super nice !“

“The halal combo here is up there with some of the best halal carts in the city. It’s my go-to option here in East Harlem (as well as their chicken loaded fries). They recently went through some renovations/branding changes so the atmosphere here is nice. The staff are also very friendly.“

“I’m visiting NJ (lived here for a long time) and wanted to eat some of my favorite foods. I ordered dinner from port of peri peri and it was perfectly cooked but missing my fries. I let that be known to the restaurant and received a small refund. Next night, I ordered dinner again and I received a large order of fries on the house as well as a discount card for 5% for dine in orders valid for one more week. Amazing customer service. “Tasty halal food just a few steps away from the hotels near Queensbridge 21 street. It's delicious, clean, and a fantastic deal. The gentleman cooking the food is super nice. I highly recommend it. “Alhamdulillah! Amazing food and even better service! It's a great place for lunch/take-out. I had been there for more than 50 times. They NEVER frustrated me. I tried (1) Chicken Shawarma with Pita and (2) Falafel. Both of them are super good and highly-recommended.

I've historically not been a fan of lamb, but this restaurant changed it for me. It was so tender and delicious, and the rice and carrots and raisins were so so so good. I don't often find myself in this corner of the country, but when I visit again, I will definitely be making a stop here!
