“While Korean food has become increasingly popular in the U.S. over the past decade, it feels like most options skew toward two extremes: fast food (chicken, 떡복기, ramen, etc.) or rarefied Michelin experiences with impossibly competitive reservations. The Plating offers a much-needed middle ground. All the dishes are readily recognizable to anyone who's grown up with traditional Korean food and flavors, but they're executed in a refined, precise, and intentionally modern way that elevates them a cut above the average Korean restaurant in the suburbs.
I was in a party of 4, and we ordered a dinner course menu. Every plate was delicious, and we were very full when we left.
The chef/owner is the sole cook, so if she is booked for private events, the restaurant closes for the day. To avoid disappointment, CALL AHEAD to check if the restaurant is open. It may feel like a hassle, but I enjoyed my meal enough to feel that the call is worth it.“

“It's such a futuristic way of getting your Korean fried chicken. So simplistic so to the point crunch is phenomenal, And even though it's made to order it's still fast! It reminds me of those individual food dining cubbies/booths for people who like minimal contact/interactions during dining that I've tried in Japan before. A lot of the items that I wanted were sold out but the experience was so well that I will go back again in hopes to get those items ☺️
(I'm not a spicy person but if you are the bokki is perfect for you, to me it was too spicy to enjoy unfortunately, even with the cheese added. But everything else about the bokki was spot on delicious!)“

“This place is SUPER affordable and the food is amazing ! I have been here twice two days back to back and will probably be going again. They are very nice and the food is very comforting. They change the sides up and it’s always delicious! Imagine all this for 12 bucks!!!! Spicy pork and the other is the beef bento Box“

“Overall very impressed with the food quality, especially the melt in your mouth tender meats. Appreciate how the meats are halal & no alcohol is served. Prashant is an absolute delight - knowledgeable, kind, and accommodating. He and the whole staff made dinner a wonderful experience.“

“Absolutely wonderful — hands down one of the best meals of the trip. Every dish we ordered was excellent: the watermelon salad, tuna, mandu, steak and potatoes, tteokbokki, and the sesame bread and butter pudding were all full of flavor and beautifully presented.
I loved the Korean-fusion small-plates concept — creative, shareable and really well executed. The cocktails were also excellent.
We sat at the bar for a 5 p.m. dinner before a 7 p.m. show, and the timing was perfect. Service was sharp, everything came out at just the right pace, and the bar had such a lively, engaging atmosphere with great conversation from the team.
Fun, flavorful, beautifully plated and full of energy. Would absolutely come back.“

“Brilliant Korean spread at Cho Dang Gol in midtown Manhatten. Specializes in tofu dishes so we plumped for the spicy tofu hotpot but also ordered some tasty beef and zucchini pancakes and spicy gochujang chicken. This eatery features on the Michelin guide and is always packed, and rightly so! Maybe a little on the sweeter side for my taste but isn’t everything in the USA? 😜 Regardless, it was stupid tasty and we inhaled everything“

“Went for restaurant week and the appetizers and the main courses were all very plentiful and flavorful. The execution was unique but it worked quite well. The desserts were a decent way to end the meal. The flight was a nice experience although theyre more like traditional spirits so make sure thats your cup of tea.“

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Came to KPOT BBQ for the food and left raving about the entire experience. The food was great, fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for when you walk into a place like this. But somehow the service was even better. Shoutout to Stella, our server, who absolutely made the night. Attentive, friendly, funny, and on top of everything without ever hovering. She handled our table like a pro and cooked some of our food for us too! , even while I was clearly having the time of my life and probably making a bit of a spectacle of myself. Stella, if you’re reading this, thank you for making an already great meal unforgettable. And if by some chance you felt the same good vibes, feel free to reach out. Either way, KPOT BBQ has a customer for life.“

“Had such a good meal at Pyeong An Dong in Fort Lee! I got the mool naengmyun and the eel, and both were so good. The naengmyun was refreshing and flavorful, and the eel was perfectly cooked and delicious. Everything was really satisfying, and I’d definitely come back again! Highly recommend if you’re in the area.“

“This was a phenomenal experience! Everything we ordered- the marinated crabs, abalone congee, wild shrimp, and grilled pork belly were INCREDIBLY delicious.
Genuinely this meal had me insanely stuffed and satisfied. I went with two other people and we still had some leftovers so everything is very shareable. Flavors are incredible.
Our server, Tenzing, really made the experience memorable. He introduced us to rice punch and was also very friendly and sweet!
Will definitely revisit New York just to come back here.“

“Found this place during our stay for the US Open. One member of our party was vegan and this place had many vegan friendly options. The vegan eggs Benedict options were impressive and you could not tell it was vegan. I ordered the chicken and egg Benedict which was nice. Love the ambiance and decor of the place. For calm, quiet, and relaxing. The mocha lattes were excellent and love the tumbler idea to serve them in. Highly recommend!“

“Small local restaurant with generous portions and creative cocktails. There are only a few tables inside and outside so come early or be prepared to wait a bit. Every entree was delicious and we were so full there wasn't room for dessert. Service was quick and attentive. I'd definitely come back!“

“An amazing and intimate experience with welcoming, friendly staff. The many variations of kimchi were impressive and genuinely fun to explore.
Chef Soogil incorporates an incredible range of flavors into what I found to be substantial and thoughtfully varied portions.
There’s a beautiful interplay between sweet and salty throughout the meal, not only within the kimchi itself, but in how each variation complements and brings out the unique character of each dish.
The foie gras mandu and the mukeunji were so well paired with their respective kimchi, my favorite dish followed by the Galbi. Neither of which are pictured because I was too busy indulging.“

“Okay so I do think this is a chicken and burger joint now combined together on the outside of the building. I really didn't notice the time for the chicken place. It was any small corner lit up attached to a burger place. With that said I am not mad at it as I ordered the bulgogi burger which was so good. Very soft and flavorful and I also ordered a order of 10-piece wings. I split it between soy, garlic and sweet and spicy. Now for me I am a Korean chicken lover and I just did it fully get the full experience of Korean Chicken meaning that in every bite it is very crunchy and it is packed with the sauce flavor on top for me. I did not get that full effect and that's really why. I love Korean f and wings that are usually double fried so they get a very nice crunch and the sauce is usually nicely styled on now. There was something wrong with the sauce but I would have liked to have a little bit more of it as well as more of a crunch. I would definitely come back here. I did notice that the burger place and the chicken plays. I have menus but a little bit different. I did order from Uber eats so I didn't really notice that at the time until I really checked out your iron. They do have the tablet where you can order from as soon as you get there. That has Uber just did for both places. However I was very happy with the wings. I got 10 pieces which I think you can order. I only ordered through the bloomberger site and they were nice sizes.“

“I had the Beef Bulgogi Japchae. It was very good. The noodles stuck together in clumps, but I was able to shake them apart into bite sized portions easily. The Korean fried chicken wings were excellent. The fire soy garlic sauce has a nice medium spice that complements the flavor of the sauce. This was my first time trying Terra Korean Lager, and I was impressed. It has a light, crisp flavor that worked very well with my food choices. I would be here often if I lived closer.“

“They were short staffed but the owners were so cute and attentive as possible. We had a larger group and ordered several items which were all delicious. The flavors weren’t extremely different from each other, even the spiciest wasn’t that spicy but the crispy outer layer of the chicken was perfect along with the tiny hint of spice. My personal fav was the galbi kimbab. Please support this local business! They even let us turn on the tv to play the Knicks game. What more can you ask for?“

“So glad I found this place, this is going straight to my favorites list I will definitely be revisiting. I was looking for a casual neighborhood eat for dinner the other night.
This place specializes in DIY kimbap (rice rolls) or bi bimbap (rice bowls). I did a DIY bulgogi bibimbap bowl. The bowl includes a choice of protein, 5 veggie toppings, choice of rice (brown or white) and choice of sauce.
You can also make it a meal with +$5 which comes with Mandu (chicken, pork, or veggie), salad, AND soup.
The quality and taste was great! I really loved the gochujang dressing it was so tangy and sweet. The Mandu were cooked so well, so crispy and juicy. I love that the portions are also huge!
Really good deal for $20. And the service person was so friendly :)

“If you haven't been to Q Grill in Fort Lee yet, you are seriously missing out. We had an great meal, but a few dishes absolutely stole the show.
The experience started off strong because the banchan was incredibly plentiful, giving us so many great sides to taste. A huge standout was the kimchi, it tasted so fresh yet beautifully and well-fermented, hitting that perfect balance of crunch and tang.
For the main event, we opted for the Trinity Wagyu combination, and it was spectacular. The beef was incredibly velvety, rich, and luxurious. To call it tender is an understatement—every single bite practically melted in my mouth, packed with that premium, juicy flavor you only get from high-quality Wagyu cuts.
The JapChae was executed perfectly with that ideal, bouncy chew and a beautifully balanced, savory-sweet sesame soy sauce. We also ordered the spicy rice cakes with cheese, which were the ultimate comfort food—perfectly chewy with just the right amount of kick, smothered in melted, gooey cheese.
Between the generous sides, the cheese-pulled rice cakes, and the top-tier meats from the Trinity combo, Q Grill is officially a favorite. Can't wait to come back!“

Staff. The K street burger 🍔 hit the spot with the honey 🍯 drizzled buns. The fries were mediocre. The store front was flashy but can clean up on the floor a bit. No seating area, but nice to take to the park. Also love the yuzu Japanese drinks.“

“First time ordering from here, and it definitely won’t be the last! The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and nothing felt overly greasy. We placed our pickup order ahead of time, and it was ready exactly when promised, which made the whole pickup process quick and easy. Parking was easy too.
Overall, a great experience. 10/10 would order again! Definitely one of the better takeout spots around. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!“

“This spot serves naengmyun that tastes better than most places in MD, though the quality of noodles are inconsistent. My son's noodles were undercooked and overly tangled, however, mine was ok. The LA galbi was very good and makes for a fantastic meal when ordered with their combo menu.“

“my family visited my aunt who lives in the area for her birthday and we thought to try this place. i’m so glad we did because they had theeeee besssst seafood scallion pancake i’ve ever had and everyone in the group loved it!
i also really liked their banchan and hot tea.
i got their spicy brisket jjampong and i was very happy with my order.
the cooking definitely has a homemade taste to it as if we just went over a family friend’s house which was a nice feeling. the guy even told us there’s no msg in the food.
i would definitely come here again and would go more often if i lived closer 😆“

“This is EXACTLY what I was looking for.
I needed some super super lazy easy way to eat lots of variety and especially vegetables everyday and this place is:
- Cheaper than Woorijip.
- Way healthier than Woorijip.
- Got less kids than Woorijip.
- And it's far from 32nd street so there's always seating.
The store vibes are on point and the way they structure the store makes it easy to take your time to browse even when there's a lot of people around.“

“These wings are delicious and I was very impressed... Usually when I bring wings home from any other spot, they're soggy. But this wasn't the case and after about 45 minutes of driving I came home and they were all crispy and fresh and the sauces were great too.... I enjoyed every last one of them....“

“This was a great experience! We were just at Kollection grabbing some kbeauty products.. when we wanted to eat somewhere. We had no wait, and the ambiance when we walked in was so chill. The table lamps are nice. The Bossam was AMAZING! I highly recommend that dish!! Especially with friends! I would do it plain. The seafood pancake was PACKED with seafood! It was light and fluffy! Corn and cheese was everything you would want.. creamy. And cheesy! I would have like a bit more corn I guess. Fun family dinner night out! The servings are good! I wish I could order more, but I’m full!
Shout out to Thomas our waiter! He was nice and attentive. Would definitely come back here again!“

“Grandma’s Bapsang is hands down the best authentic Korean food I’ve had. It’s a true mom-and-pop restaurant that serves comforting, homemade dishes full of flavor. You can tell everything is made with care, and every bite tastes like a home-cooked meal. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service makes you feel like family. “Delicious Korean style Chinese food inside of H Mart, a popular Korean grocery store. It is set up like a food court style where you order at the counter, pay, then wait for your number to be called to pick up your food on a tray.
The indoor seating area is open, clean, and casual. The jjamppong 짬뽕 was spicy, and I love the generous portions.“
