“I had the privilege of having Eastern Kitchen cater my wedding back in June of 2023. The food was absolutely AMAZING. Numerous guests said it was the best wedding food they've ever had and I would agree. It is top-notch Korean food. The menu variety and quality were both phenomenal. James did an amazing job catering our wedding. Thanks from Daniel and Nicole“
“I came here for an event recently and their food was phenomenal. The menu is amazing and has so much to choose from. I would highly recommend the pork jowl toppoki. It was delicious. I wish I lived closer to this place. If I did, I would be ordering from here all the time.“
“All you can eat buffet- I generally judge these spots based on their bulgogi and the kalbi, and both of these options here were on point. I wish they had a little more options in terms of vegetables (they did have cooked broccoli) and fruits (limited to pineapple and melon), but overall it was good value for money. Quick and good service.“
“Fantastic meal and fantastic overall experience sitting at the chefs counter. Highly recommend the Wagyu and uni supplements as well as the abalone extra course. For some reason they gave us our check well before we finished eating our final course. There wasn't another party waiting for our seats so it was a bit strange to be rushed“
“We dropped in for an early dinner to try this restaurant close to home. The flavors were amazing. We had catfish bites and pear salad as starters and fried chicken and gumbo as the entrees. Everything was perfectly prepared. We met the owner who was very welcoming. The space is not very big so reservations are recommended if you plan to dine in.“
“Extensively thought out menu, every bite felt like a perfect harmony of complex but well balanced flavours. The pairings are absolutely worth it and elevate every dish, we would highly recommend.Servers were extremely attentive. We ate in about 1h30 because we had a show (a bit faster than the recommended 2 hour window), however we didn’t feel rushed and everything was perfectly timed.Excellent ambiance, we loved being able to see the chefs work in front of us. Everything looked like a perfectly choreographed dance.Would highly recommend, a well deserved star indeed !“
“I really like this restaurant! The food is high quality and the experience is fine dining but fun/relaxed.The menu is composed of bits of familiar recipes with Korean twists and French culinary techniques. There’s galbi, squid ink fried rice, uni, and mäd toast (which sounded monstrous but I didn’t get to try it this time) plus much more. I liked that the menu is small-sized and minimalist with clearly labeled snacks, little colds, hots, mains, extras, and desserts (menu is posted outside the entrance and on website). The current menu that started in mid-March has snacks/appetizers such as spicy yellowtail tart, beef tartare, fried shiitake mushroom rice balls (I think?, it’s labeled as mushroom arancini on the menu), pork head katsu, and scallion buns with unique sauces on the side ($20 per person, either no one or everyone orders). I tried the mushroom tempura with onion dip too! Everything was elegantly and adorably plated. Our server explained what’s what and suggested how to best enjoy some dishes. They have a really extensive drinks menu (many pages), complete with your usual offerings and their own unique cocktails, rice alcohol, maekgeolli, and even alcohol free cocktails woohoo! Not sure if all of the ice cubes for the alcoholic drinks are engraved with the restaurant’s name and logo but ours were and I thought that was a really cool and personal touch. An equally important part of my dining experience was the atmosphere and service. The staff are attentive, frequently filling glasses low on water and folding napkins when you step away. They also keep the music bopping and adjust their playlists. The lighting is a little dim and the interior is ‘cool club’ vibes but for a slightly more sophisticated audience. It’s a place to come in casual or dressed up a little for fun. It’s best for smaller groups of 1-4 I think based on seating arrangements but they seem to be able to accommodate slightly larger groups at some bigger tables and in the back room. Expect to pay $50-$100 if you get one item from each category on the menu and a drink. Probably $100+ if you get more or multiple drinks. The bar area in the back is across from the kitchen, which might be cool to peek at to see some staff members curating orders.I like that it’s on a quieter block in ktown area. The price range and location filters out loud and teen crowds, so it feels like a great place for young adults and Millenials to catch up or go on a date. It’s a place to sit down and chat while you savor small bites and wait on more food to arrive, so you’ll probably need like 1.5-2 hours if you’re going for a natural relaxed pace. I also saw a family of 5 enjoying dinner together here. Lastly, this is random but the hand soap is heavenly. I can’t wait to see what other menus they craft!!Dietary restrictions: They will ask about dietary restrictions and can modify recipes. If you don’t eat certain ingredients/foods, they can omit snacks too and adjust the price for you accordingly.“
“This place is near perfection - the food and drinks all tasted amazing. Love the vibrant and various selections of cocktails and drinks they had available, and the drinks came out SUPER fast which is always a plus. Food also came out fairly quickly. Portions were on the smaller side but I love that there are so many delicious options to choose from, so you can actually order a lot more and be able to taste variety of dishes as opposed to getting two or three big ones and getting full off of those. Would definitely come back!“
“Very friendly and attentive staff that go above and beyond. The food is very tasty. They have a wide variety of food, including a wide selection of fried food, all of which is all you can eat. They have smoothies and other menu items to purchase if you still have room in your stomach.“
“I can’t describe how amazing the food and staff were ! The person who I believe was the manager was very attentive and mad us laugh so much. The person who was cooking our meat tonight was also super friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to all of my friends. Thank you so much SSAM TONG !!!!“
“We went to Atoboy because hard to get the reservation of Atomix. Food is match the price of $75 prix-fixe. Only outstanding items are Stripe Bass & Korean Pear(forgot to take pictures). Better to have 3 people in a group that you could try everything. We must have Dessert due to someone birthday, but I wouldn’t suggest after we try. Atmosphere is more ideal for younger group.“
“I had the 15-course Chef tasting menu for $135. Although it may seem a bit steep for a food court, this is a high end food court (spacious and spotless, surrounded by luxurious hotels and exclusive galleries), and they're serving premium ingredients. Just four of these courses on their own (Madai with Beet and Mandarin; Hiramasa with Golden Osetra; Lobster with Kombu; Eel with Foie Gras) if put on a bigger plate and served on white table clothes could make up a prix fixe worth $135, but because this is a casual food court, you get a lot of "bang for your buck." The only thing that prevented me from being completely comfortable here was the very loud music overhead, very hectic, very frenzied, WOOF.“
“Didn’t even realize Genesis house was here until we googled where to eat while in the area. We were blown away from the food, ambiance and hospitality. We ordered:- Suranchae- Shrimp Mandu- Black Cod- JapchaeEverything tasted delicious, we had to make some modifications to the entrees as my wife is pregnant, but the staff made it so easy for us. It was really nice sitting by the window to overlook Little Island, Pier 57 and the Highline. You feel like you’re in the center of where all the action is.At the end of the night, the manager even gave us this super cute “Genesis House Food Critic” baby bib as a thank you gift for dining (how did they even have this ready for just us mentioning pregnancy for the menu!!?)Definitely try it out and you’ll be happy you did!“
“I'll start with the breathtaking panoramic views!!!! What a stunning restaurant!!!! If you are not familiar with what to order off of a Korean menu, just ask for recommendations. From start to finish what an excellent dining experience! Right before theBilly Joel concert, very fitting to have a bottle of red & a bottle of white! If you're in the K-Town area 1250 Broadway to be exact, go straight to the penthouse!!!!“
“Everyone here went above and beyond. Hostess accommodated my party of 5 when they were fully packed, our server recommended all the best plates and drinks, and the ambiance was immaculate with the crowd enjoying their food and company. Their interior was also spot on with the disco chill vibe they were trying to set. All the food came out to our table fairly quickly and also got devoured fairly quickly lol. 10/10 recommend reserving a time to eat here!!!“
“Best Korean bbq in the area. The quality of the meat is consistently phenomenal and better yet, the service is the best in the city. They are attentive, polite, efficient and friendly. I’ve been going here since they opened over the years, and I always look forward to my visits. I highly recommend this place of high quality meat, side dishes, and stews.“
“Korean food at it’s best.Fried rice with steak was top, endives salad with Korean pears and nuts was just amazing. The chicken wings is a must if you happen to go!!Service amazing, fast and attentive at all times.Looking forward to go back and try the famous Pork Shank!!“
“Bomb bulgogi with the accentuated marinade. Soy marinated raw crab that was surprisingly eat to eat. Kim cold noodle soup. All with great execution. If I could nitpick, it'd be that the space is a bit brighter than I'd like, but that kind of the Junho Choi style. All good. This place is the real deal and my meal was just hit after hit.“
“Probably one of the better Korean BBQ spots I've been too. The meat was quality and I like that you can order combo platters that are perfect for sharing between 4 people. We did two rounds of beef and the food tasted great. Would recommend. It gets busy so make a reservation ahead of time.“
“Been here 4 times. I declare take 31 to be the top one on my list of Korean food in New York! The creamy udon pasta is super delicious and is my favorite dish. The creamy sauce is very rich and you won’t get tired of it even if you eat the whole plate. We have tried all three kinds of rice balls, and our favorite is the tuna fish rice ball. The 5 big pieces are full of sincerity and are so satisfying when paired with refreshing kimchi; the honey fried chicken has a sweet coating, and the mustard sauce it comes with is even more remarkable, retaining the mustard flavor without being spicy; the yogurt-flavored Rice wine has more flavor than banana flavor! It’s especially cool; the pork neck meat will be a little fatty; the corn tortillas have caramel adhering to the corn kernels, which are sweet and crispy, especially delicious! !“
“Franchia is hands-down one of the best vegan dining experinces in NYC. This restaurant has become my new favorite place to eat! The menu is comprehensive and rich with flavorful and delicious options to choose from. I really appreciate being able to select from a variety of hot teas, drinks, and desserts, too. The host, servers, and waitstaff are friendly and attentive. The interior of the restaurant itself is beautifully designed and kindles a warm and relaxing atmosphere. I'm happy every time I come here and look forward to my next visit. Best, Evan“
“The food was absolutely delicious! And the staff were a huge help in explaining what the different selections were if we had questions. From the appetizer, to the entree and the most gorgeous dessert bite! It leaves you wanting more. Definitely excited to come back again soon and try more on the menu!“
“Modern Korean store. Reservations are required as it is very crowded. Still, I had to wait quite a while. Although it is called ``Home Cooking on Jeju Island'', there are many hot pot dishes. The famous dish is the bone-in short ribs stew. They add rice to the leftover meat and make something similar to burnt fried rice. The sweet and spicy sauce is delicious. Banchan also had chijimi, and all of them were delicious.“
“I liked the ordering with kiosk option where you could view pictures and customize your orders easily. I chose the Koba bowl. The portion size shocked me! My bowl looked like a mountain. It was satisfying to have that much food and a variety of stuff in only one bowl. Both food and service were amazing! With any order it also comes with a Korean snack of your choice.“
“"Tapas-style" Korean menu in a location perfect for a pre-theatre dinner! The raw scallop, bossam, and kimchi fried rice were all super flavorful and delicious. The only complaint I had was for the cheese corn riblets - they just quartered the corn cobs for this dish so you still have to bite the corn off the cob section, instead of just cutting the kernels off into riblets like most restaurants do. Makes it messier than necessary. The $16-18 bottles of Kikusui sake on the menu are a definite plus!“
“The food was good but I didn't feel like it could justify the high price of this place compared to other Korean restaurants in the area. The best item was definitely the seafood pancake with a really nice crust. Other items were just fine, nothing too wow. The service was also mid. The lady kept questioning us over and over whether we wanted rice when we already told her no. I feel like with this price, I would expect a better service or more distinguished dishes.“
“Was in the NY for the weekend visiting family from FL. Always wanted to try Korean BBQ and this place came up. Absolutely loved it. There was 7 of us walking around and they fit us right in. We ordered the 5-6 meal and 2 appetizers. And it was Plenty for everyone. Half way thru the meal my 10yr old leans over and tells me. "This is the best night of my life." He's a foodie. But check them out you should not be disappointed. Great job guys.“
“Great food, friendly staff. This would’ve been 5 stars but once i gave my phone number to their front desk to wait in the queue to be seated I started receiving spam texts from all over the country. Their system is compromised or they are selling our phone numbers.“
“We made a reservation a few weeks in advance which was a simple and easy process. Once arrived, we were sat down quickly. The food was incredible. The wagyu was cooked very well and the sides were delicious as well. Service was great except our first reorder of food took some time.Overall, it was a great experience. We will be back.“
“Great place to eat. Friendly and big portions. I have tried most things and liked them but. My go to order is the Chicken Bimbap Bowl with Tiger Sauce. They are donating a portion of sales to Annandale Baseball on Monday 4/26 and Tuesday 4/27... Just mention Annandale at the register or in the "Special Instructions" when ordering online.“
“I don’t have those fancy meal much but this is really fancy. I love the service and it’s impressive. Here for our anniversary dinner and it was really good. The service started with a nice greeting and the courtyard is nice peaceful. The meals are delicious and creative. Every dish have an explanation and it’s a little much. You would enjoy every meal. It’s not really my thing.“
“This restaurant specializes in Korean fine dining, taking traditional Korean cuisine to a higher level of refinement in terms of size, flavor, and presentation. Additionally, they incorporate elements from northeastern Chinese, Japanese, and other cuisines from around the world, giving it a touch of Asian fusion. In terms of the dining experience, this establishment does a decent job of interpreting the concept of Korean fine dining, but personally, it may not stand out as the finest representation of Korean fine dining. Other Michelin 1-2 star restaurants and even some non-Michelin-rated establishments may excel more in terms of food quality.Furthermore, being located in the Korean town area, amidst numerous upscale and casual Korean eateries, its lack of unique flavor and relatively small portions might lead some diners to prefer nearby alternatives. However, the restaurant's service and ambiance are top-notch for the Korean town area. Situated in a classical-style room with warm lighting, and with attentive and friendly staff, it enhances the dining experience, making it suitable for formal gatherings such as business dinners, formal meetings, and dates. In conclusion, this restaurant is a decent choice for Korean fine dining, particularly suitable for formal occasions, but if you're solely seeking the best Korean food or the most representative Korean fine dining experience, there may be better options available in New York.“
“This place is great! The service is awesome! You don’t have to ask for meat refills as the servers would come and ask when they see empty meat plates. A side note for kpop fans, this place play SM Entertainment songs like 90% of the time! (For the rest 10% I don’t know those songs) ???“
“Really beautiful space with lovely food and great service. I was expecting a bit more from the food tbh for the price (not sure what though because I have no real complaint but it wasn't spectacular other than the mixed fritter appetizer which was the best tempura I've ever had). All in all 4.5 stars.“
“the gimbab was SO good!!! the gimban in the us usually have huge portion of rice and the meat is very little But here the meat inside was a LOT which I loved??also the spicy bulgogi(meat inside) tasted so good and the soy sauce marinated egg was cooked excellently and so good if you eat it with rice will go again to try other gimbab!!“
“Food is good but they raised their prices and it's only worthwhile if you can get them to actually bring the dishes you order. Sometimes we have difficulty getting orders in even when they're not that busy. Still, very solid place.“
“Thanks to the food here, I was able to travel to New York while recharging my energy. For me, who was embarrassed by the salty, simple taste and expensive food in New York... It was my 'oasis' while I was in New York. I visited it every day for 5 days. Boss, you will prosper!“
“My 1st time having Korean fried chicken. Been wanting to have it for a long time. Came across this gem and I'm a fan.Chicken is fried fresh to order so please be patient. I ordered the 5pc Golden original just so I can taste the overall flavor. Nicely fried to a crispy and juicy texture. The guy at the register Kim bought me over a side of their Secret Sauce to try it. Not too sweet or spicy but it's sticky. The 1st time having pickled daikon also. Very refreshing and a palate cleanser. Love it“
“My family stopped in for dinner on a gloomy evening. The owner warmly greeted us after a short wait and was very attentive through out our time. We ordered a Bul Dak bowl, Sunny Avo, and Kimchi Jae Yuk bowl. Everything was very tasty and the portions were so large. We tried our best but couldn’t finish, we were stuffed. The owner was very nice, even giving our daughter a choice of handmade trinket made by his children. It was our last day in NYC but would recommend Bulbap Grill to anyone in the area.“
“Highly recommend this place. Good food and drink selection. Must try their pork belly and rose tteokboki. Also, they have a variety selection of Korean traditional, high quality, craft drinks. Cozy atmosphere allows you to have an intimate date night or great time for friends gathering. Definitely will come back here and the service was very excellent.“
“What address ! Incredible discovery. Kind of food court with 2 or 3 other brands (always Asian: Drinks, desserts). For the hot dogs There are several choices, the basic is already very good, a little extra with the cheddar and originality for the hash browns around it. A nugget! Absolutely worth testing. And super affordable prices. For big eaters, maybe take 2. Good tasting“
“Good quality food served in a cafeteria style atmosphere. It’s a great place if you are looking for fresh and convenient grab and go meals without having to wait. However, I wish they clearly marked their vegan or vegetarian options - which they have plenty of. Another great thing about this place. Secondly, the prices for these prepackaged takeout dishes are comparable to the neighboring Korean restaurants that provide full service. You would think it would be less pricey here since dishes aren’t made to order and customers don’t require full service or a lot of space. Just something to think about.Vegetarian options: Vegetable kimbap, seaweed salad, vegetable banchan.“
“Listen world lol I'm Jamaican and I tried this location after having it to be highly recommended on Instagram. My experience was so mind-blowingly awesome that I had to write this review.Kelly, the bartender, is absolutely awesome!!!!!!! Contagious smile and energy. The food was wayyyy better than I expected. I need to order two truffle fries next time. The rib eye made me want to kiss each bite before I ate it lol I'm so blown away. Everyone in NYC needs to experience the food. I also had the kimchi fried rice and the chicken wings. Oh my goodness. I'm salivating just thinking about it. Listen, please, take a chance, take a friend or two and just go. I'm going back on my next day off lmao so I can eat nice and slow, no rush lolllllll and then take food to go lollllllllllll.... See you there!!!!“
“We were a party of 8 and had a great experience. Entrance was busy and fun at the same time. You have to take an elevator to the actual restaurant. But once you get to the restaurant floor it will definitely blow you away. Great food great service and great atmosphere. Prices are actually very decent and the servings are very filling. I had a great time. I will definitely be going back. Thank you for the great food and great service.“
“A fun place to get drinks and fried chicken. I really enjoyed the half and half (half spicy and half soy garlic) wings and drumsticks platter. It’s the perfect amount for sharing with friends. We also got the seafood pancake which was delicious!“
“The staffs are friendly, this is a hidden gem. A regular roll is $5. The food was delicious! They are only open during the weekday for a couple hours. Would recommend coming here again! This is a hole in the wall shop, no places to sit. Staff: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Ambience: 3/5“
“I love Anytime because the vibe is a bit more fancier than other regular pochas you would go to in Fort Lee or Palisades Park. The servers are always nice and attentive. The food is top notch. If you order the honey makgeolli (rice wine) the servers will slice up real honey and put it in your glass.“
“Food was fresh and delicious. Service was prompt. The folks that work here are very friendly and generous. They offered us seared tuna which was delicious. We ordered a couple of rolls and again you can taste the freshness of the sushi. We also greatly enjoyed their beef ramen. Beef was tender and tasty and was the broth. Will be back again.“
“Absolutely!"Fantastic experience at Hongdae Korean! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and authentic. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The food was simply outstanding - each dish bursting with flavor and prepared with care.Overall, Highly recommend Hongdae Korean for anyone craving delicious Korean cuisine!"“
“If I have to choose one Korean sushi/sashimi restaurant in NJ, then Bada Story Englewood Cliffs is the one. The staff are extremely well trained. The back of house staff knows a thing or two about culinary excellence. And the owner/executive chef has put together an awesome items in the menu.Bada Story’s dinner feast boasts the most extensive assortment of appetizing sashimi in the tristate area. No, it does not come cheap. But the quality of fish they bring out totally justifies the pricing. Even the side dishes (aka tskedashi) is consisted of noteworthy seafood items. Dessert - the seafood soup - is the only thing that’s disappointing, but you are probably 120% over your capacity by the time you get the soup. By the way, isn’t it funny that Koreans eat a bowl of rice and seafood soup for their dessert?Their lunch special is outstanding as well. Whenever I crave sashimi, but I don’t want to spend $250 for a meal, I go to Bada Story for their lunch special. Nicely priced, but not compromised in quality. When the warm drinking water is exceptionally tasty (aka seung-nyeung) you know you are at a well operated restaurant. Highly recommended.“
