Chef Shin and team at Joo Ok paid attention to every single detail. Traditional Korean dishes were familiar/comforting yet also unexpected and mind blowing. Two Michelin stars. Definitely must go!
We dined at Joo Ok celebrating our wedding anniversary. From the minute we walked into a freight elevator entrance, curiosity and suspense peeked.
It’s a twelve course menu, thoughtfully executed with love in each bite. The artistry in a few of dishes were meticulously detailed.

Honestly expected more from Joo Ok - have to say the entrance to the restaurant is quite unique and unforgettable.
Staff - well knowledge in the wine and dishes, but there didn’t seem to be synergy amongst the staff as compared to other fine dining restaurants in NY.
Decor - Restaurant setting from table, chairs, plating seemed really normal. Nothing unique or eye catching.
