“I’ve been to another Che Li location a few times and visited this location for the first time back in May. The restaurant’s design is always lovely — each dining area is built like a small wooden oriental courtyard, which matches the Zhejiang cuisine theme perfectly.
We ordered quite a lot, and every dish turned out to be enjoyable. The crab roe noodle was especially delicious, better than the version I make at home lol. The soup dumpling were also quite good. Overall, a very refined and satisfying meal.“

“This spot is 12/10 my favorite place in the area. I recently moved to Jersey City however when I’m in the area, I make it a point to grab food from here specifically! The staff is so hardworking and nice. They always have a smile on their face and welcome any questions you may have. Love this place and you will too!“

“The food was honestly amazing - so, so delicious. The only thing I’d change is the music, just because it didn’t really match the vibe, but that’s totally my own opinion. Everything we tried was great, and the service was really good too. Definitely recommend this place!“

“Ottimo ristorante di Ramen (giapponese e non quello "tarocco" o fatto con quello istantaneo del supermercato) che offre anche una fantastica selezione di ravioli. Prezzi tutto sommato accettabili per la media della città e acqua gratuita. Posto piccolo, accogliente, staff cordiale e velocissimo. Porzioni corpose quindi ordinate con cautela o non riuscirete a finire tutto.“

“The food I ordered was good ,well seasoned, but when I wanted to order their signature dish, which is the bao bao buns, they said it’s no longer in stock and won’t be ready till next season.
I was really disappointed that I couldn’t get what I really wanted.“

“I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.“

“Best Szechuan restaurant in New York, hands down. The food was outstanding—bold, authentic flavors, perfectly cooked, and every dish was packed with spice and depth. What made the experience even better was Andy, our waiter. He was friendly, attentive, fast, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Great food, great service, and definitely a place I’d come back to again. Highly recommend.“

“I found this amazing restaurant via Google Maps & I’m glad I did! Ordered through Grubhub & everything arrived warm, freshly made & with plentiful amounts! Yum!
BBQ Spare Ribs were amazing in taste & fully cooked, not too soft, just right! Scallion pancakes arrived very crispy & not soggy like others I’ve had! Pork fried rice was seasoned perfectly! They also accommodated my no egg request in the rice for an added bonus! Dumplings were delicious with an adequate amount of juicy pork filling! Boneless BBQ ribs were soft, full of sauce & tasty as well! Prices are a bit higher, but you get your money’s worth overall! Try it you’ll be happy you did!“

“I had dinner in the restaurant with a friend.
We thoroughly enjoyed the authentic Hunan cuisine. We requested our dishes to be prepared at a mild spice level, and we were very satisfied with how the kitchen accommodated our request.
I also want to highlight the excellent service we received. Our waiter, Kavin, was attentive and friendly, and his menu suggestions were spot on.“

“The owner and his son are the highlight of my experience here. The son is so much fun to talk to and is one of the best people to have in a service industry. He helped us know what to avoid given my wife’s dietary restrictions and also made an extra effort to make dumplings that could match her restrictions.
The food has so much wonderful spice. Their mount Qi noodles are such a highlight on any cold day and it’s one of the reasons I went there 4 times across two weeks“

“Delicious! There was a little bit of a wait during lunch rush but got seated shortly after. I think the flavors are there and okay, but nothing too outstanding. Wish there were more noodles or beef or veg tbh but in this economy this is not bad already 🙂↕️“

“I've been to a lot of hotpot restaurants in the city. BeiJin Hotpot is a very average hotpot place. It's good, but hotpot is always good. Nothing exceptional for the price. The meat was good, maybe if we ordered different types of meat we would've had a better experience. There's nothing wrong with our dinner; we were just a bit disappointed. All in all, for the price range there are better places to go to.“

“I stopped in here yesterday for lunch and it was without a doubt top 5 foods I’ve ever eaten, both inside and outside the U.S. The malatang hot pot broth was so savory and umami I couldn’t believe how good it was. Medium spice level was just a tad too much for me and I handle spice pretty well (should have listened to the girl at the front counter…). Cant wait to go back and try the other hot and dry pots.“

“I’ll be honest, I almost talked myself out of ordering here. The menu felt a little intimidating at first, but I’m so glad I pushed through. The sauerkraut fish soup completely won me over, rich, bold, and way more approachable than I expected once it’s actually in front of you.
And the lemonade? Genuinely one of the best I’ve had. Don’t sleep on it.
If you’re on the fence about trying this place for the first time, you got to try!“

“My family always goes to PF Chang’s for my birthday and other big occasions, and Estephanie made our night fantastic! She was always making sure to check in on our table, and made us feel welcome the entire evening. The food is always delicious, but her service went above and beyond. Can’t wait to come back again!!!“

“Owen and the staff were all fantastic. Patrick at the bar was very friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely return each time I'm in NYC. Everything was amazing. Pork dumplings, chocolate dumplings with the sea salt foam, and their signature shochu sesame espresso martini are an absolute must. I'll be dreaming of them until next time.“
“The pickled cabbage was a 10/10—super simple but packed with flavor.
The Crab Meat & Pork Soup Dumplings were decent, but the crab flavor was pretty subtle. The broth was good, though I’ve had better versions in Flushing. The filling could also use a bit more fat and seasoning for richness.
The Peking Duck Spring Rolls were fine but nothing special. The duck inside leaned a little dry.
The Fish with Szechuan Sauce was excellent—very flavorful. Definitely one of the highlights of the meal.
The Crab with Tofu was disappointing. I was expecting something closer to a crab roe / mitten crab style tofu dish, but the crab flavor didn’t really come through.
Overall the food felt a bit hit or miss, but the standout dishes are excellent.
That said, the service, atmosphere, and ambiance were all great and made the meal really enjoyable.
Would come back to try more dishes.“

“Absolutely amazing meal! Was recommended to us by a friend, and we recommend it to you. A quick walk from our Broadway show, the meal was a perfect night cap. The mango margaritas were the perfect combo of sweet and spice; the cauliflower appetizer was bold and perfectly crunchy; the aloo gobi was wonderfully catered to our spice level and still full of flavor; the flaan was to die for. Resturant manager Rakesh Arban did an awesome job taking care of us. The atmosphere included colorful decor, mellow ambiance, and easy to talk to one another despite a somewhat full resturant.
There are stairs down to the entrance door. There are two single stall restrooms. The price was very reasonable given it's location and portion sizes.“

“HUGE portion sizes for the price (lowkey could’ve just ordered one regular size). Ended up w too much food and took home lots of leftovers
Went during Christmas time and got the seasonal deal: “Buy Combo for Two (2 Regular Portion Main Dishes +1 Snack + 2 Drinks) And Enjoy $10 OFF Your Bill,” but they forgot to take the $10 off so had to ask specifically. Next time, skip this and get the snakehead large portion set meal for two people
- Signature aromatic hot oil suancai fish (snakehead fish regular portion): Reallllyyy yummy and tasted better than the laotan suancai. Not really spicy, but too oily
- Laotan suancai fish (basa fish regular portion): Kinda mala. Mushroom and cabbage was a yummy free add on
- Brown sugar glutinous rice cake: VERY yummy and SO chewy and warm. Must get side
- Passionate fruit tea: Too sweet, not a fan. Tried the milk tea too - get this instead
* Note: idk the diff b/w basa and snakehead fish, tasted the same to me. Both were tender“

“I highly recommend their famous pork spicy appetizer. It was our 4th times in this place. I would say their meat is high quality because you can tell from the flavor itself. This is our couples favorite Sichuan place. Tonight, we tried SeaBass Mala it was delicious but too spicy but we’ve finish it 😄😛😋“

“Check out my I G lawyer.traveler.dreamer for more footage of our experience. Bodai in Midtown Manhattan offers a rare and memorable dining experience. The restaurant blends Buddhist philosophy with royal vegetarian cuisine inspired by the Qing Palace. It was my first time trying a full vegetarian tasting menu, and I was impressed by how flavorful and creative every dish was. The mushroom dishes stood out the most, especially the Stichotas japonicus with cucumber sauce, the pan-seared boletus with green millet, and the Nepal mushroom quinoa with pepper sauce. Each course felt balanced and intentional—low oil, low sugar, and focused on natural taste. Even traditional dishes like Buddha Jumps Over the Wall and zhajiang noodles were reimagined beautifully. The dessert, called “Nectar of the Core,” was light and refreshing. Dining at Bodai feels like a calm, thoughtful journey through color, texture, and flavor. If you’re looking for an elevated vegetarian meal in NYC, this is worth a visit.“

“Places like this barely exist in Midtown anymore. Land of Plenty feels like a true neighborhood spot. The restaurant is modern and clean and the Chinese food is absolutely delicious.
We showed up with a group of ten and they were able to accommodate us without any issue. The service was fun, friendly, and attentive the entire night. The bar also looked like a great place to hang out.“

“They’ve got great, inexpensive breakfast. It’s take out only as it is just a cashier store front. Cash only. I love their spicy beef crepes ($8) and beef rolls ($5), those are my go to breakfast. Pretty filling for less than $10. The beef rolls are usually ready a lot quicker than the crepes. Since the crepes are made to order from scratch when you order, it’s ~10mins wait depending on how busy they get. It can get pretty busy with lines but definitely worth it.“

“Authentic Sichuan food in NYC! Yi Pin Chengdu Best Sichuan really delivers the true flavors of Chengdu – spicy, numbing, and full of depth. The water-boiled fish and sliced beef & tripe are outstanding. Portions are generous, prices fair, and the service is friendly. A must-try spot if you love real Sichuan cuisine!“

“We ordered delivery and everything arrived well-packed and still comforting and flavorful. Highlights included the steamed pork soup dumplings (xiao long bao)—juicy, delicate skins, and especially good with the dumpling soy sauce and chili oil. The classic chicken broth was clean and soothing, perfect as a warm add-on, and the smashed cucumber salad was crisp and refreshing, balancing the richer dishes nicely.
The standout for our family was the classic chicken noodle soup with wide knife noodles and chili oil on the side—deep, satisfying broth and chewy noodles that held up well in delivery. We also loved the tomato egg noodles with slow-braised pork, which were savory, comforting, and generously portioned. Our seven-year-old devoured the noodles and braised pork, which is always the ultimate seal of approval.
Overall: reliable, flavorful Chinese comfort food that travels well and pleases both adults and kids. We’ll definitely order again.“

“This place was delicious. The noodles were the perfect amount of chewy. The flavors were perfect. The dumblings we're so flavorful you didn't need dipping sauce. We got noodles in chili sauce and beef brisket noodles. Both were delicious, the meat was so tender in the beef brisket. I did wish the noodles in chili oil was a little spicer. But maybe I look to white for the full spice version, 🤣. The person who runs the place and takes your order is so kind. She was able to negotiate us a place to sit. It was busy when we got there, only a few tables in total. Service was quick, and this place is busy. Totally worth it. This place is definitely a gem and I am sure we will be back.“

“Very underrated. This place was awesome and the food was great! The soup dumplings are delicious and their chicken dishes were more chicken than breading and you dont see that too often which is amazing. Great quality! I would eat there again for sure.
Not a big restaurant though so if you go when its busy there may be a long wait. But Its definitely worth the wait!“

“We had a very pleasant experience on Sunday Feb 15 , 2 pm at Moon Kee. It was a party of 10 at one of the round tables, for a birthday. Some people were quite hungry, so we started ordering dim sum right away from the trolleys that were making the rounds. All of the dim sum dishes were excellent. The main dishes that came later were also on point: well cooked, tasty and quite large portions. Very few of us were able to finish our meals; many take-away containers were required. The staff kindly helped us serve out a birthday cake that we had brought in. My only small critique, which brought the atmosphere rating down to 4 stars, was that our table, which was the round one closest to the front door, would get blasted by a cold draft whenever the door opened. I recommend that they install some sort of windbreak entrance as you see at many restaurants.
Overall, a delightful experience, large quantities of delicious food at reasonable prices. Will definitely be going back, and will recommend to others.“

“Caught my eye when the restaurant was first announced right next to some other fave lunch spots Gogo Curry & former Sakura Terikayi😢. Being a Shanghai native, tasting the juicy and crispy Sheng Jian Baos offered here brings back fond memories of ordering from street stalls back home. There so much soup encased in these that they blow away mid soup dumplings from some place, looking at you Din Tai Fung😏
Twice when I dined in, waiter either got the wrong order or included an item I didn't order, so do point at the menu to make sure. Being made fresh means items may take 15+ minute to be ready when you order in store for takeout, well worth the wait.“

“I’ve been here twice recently, and both experiences have been good. Different staff members helped me each time, and both were super friendly—whether I was calling in my order or picking it up. I ordered the plain lo mein and sesame chicken both times and was happy with what I got. The food was fresh, hot, and exactly what you’d expect from a classic Chinese takeout spot. Nothing fancy, just tasty comfort food and good service. I did come here a couple years ago and it seems to have improved since then to me.“
